Rate the Race: Boring Texas

A miserable day capped with a very chilly night here.

I give it a 4 just because of a Hendrick win and a 1-2 finish.

I give it a 5, it didn't burn the barn down, but it was an okay race.

I give the winner a 10.

5. Not even close compared to last year's race. Prolly would rate it less if I wasn't biased towards the driver who dominated.

I give it a 4. It was pretty boring, but that's not JJ's fault. I'm not surprised, because the Nationwide race was largely a snoozer, and I didn't see the Truck race but by all accounts on here, that was a snoozer as well.

Oh well, at least I had the race thread to entertain me. :)

6.
Adding a couple because I admit that I switched over to NFL Red Zone for the end of the Cowboys/ViQueens and Jets/Saints.
And, took a shower.
And, made guacamole for the chili contest at work.

JJ won, Harvick looks like he locked up 3rd, and if Kyle keeps screwing up, Jr. will get him for 4th. That would put 3 bowties in the top 5. great track for drivers. 8

Middle of the road race for me.
Highlight for me was Jeff Gordon in the garage describing his pre-pancaked car as "funky".
Don't think I've heard that one before.

Lol @ the ESPN commercial promo showing nothing but wrecks, fights & po'ed drivers trying to hype up these last Chase races.
None of which we saw today.

That said, I'll go ahead and rate next week's race:

10!!!!!!!!!!

9.5. That was pure racing. Each Driver had to have precise control or his tires would wear out. Not only that, but managing the Aero was very nail biting. I would have given it a 10 but ESPN coverage made a mistake when the debris was Kyle's car car was called "clear black." Maybe next time.

My opinion may be skewed since I was at the race, but the highlight for me was pre-race intros. Everything went downhill from there.

looked like there was plenty going on pre race, they showed a few entertainers doing tricks and you got to high five Jeff, not bad for a day at the races.

I thought he said Fuk* there for a minute. :D

22/3= 7.333333 ...lol for the 22 finishing 3rd... that was the only good thing about this race... scratch that... kyle busch amused me... and thinking JJ might blow up as it looked like Joey was going to pass Jr for 2nd had me stoked... but then.. well... you know.

I saw a pretty good race even though my wife's driver was out early. I really don't understand someone trashing and bashing an entire race because their driver didn't do good or they don't like the driver that won. It's a good thing some of you aren't Casey Mears, David Ragan, David Gilliland, Kvapil or Reutimann fans or you would be in a constant state of pissedoffedness. As a matter of fact I think some of you are constantly in that state anyway.

I thought that it was a decent race. Yeah, there was an amount of single file racing but there's not a track that doesn't produce some of that.

Congrats to those who watched with very low expectations and didn't enjoy the race...you should happy with getting what you wanted. Win-win situation, IMO :)

2 I hate any race that 1 car dominates.Especially JJ and crew. Nascar failed to throw the mysterious debris caution and the race really was boring.
