RATE THE RACE: California

How is that possible? Their capacity is 91,200 and they had at least 10,000 seats tarped off. That's not including all the empty seats and the entire sections that weren't tarped off and still didn't have asses in seats.

I've gotta call bull**** on that 90,000 number.

He did say estimated.

He did say estimated.

"Estimated" as in NASCAR and Auto Club Speedway pulled the number straight out of their ass to make themselves look good. All racetracks do it. I've had racetracks tell me they've got 6,500 people in the stands when their 7,000 seat complex wasn't even 1/4 full.

LOL

Nearly Every Driver including the Godly Jooyner, says that the love this track!

But still, I am a dreamer... hmmmmm.

Maybe.

I was about to post that. The drivers do love racing here. I guess it just doesn't look as entertaining as a wreckfest.

You can't please everyone. At racing-forums you can't please ANYONE! :booya:

Actually it was the most people in attendance that I've seen in about 4 years.

why.s so many down?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, JR.'s in 3rd n JJ 's in the top 10 :p:partytime

It reminded me of Vintage Sports car action. Decent racing I guess, and no one does anything Risky. What Fontana Needs is Tusken Raiders in Turn 4 next to the radio guys.

Fontana needs to be reconfigured. How about a half mile short track that's a clone of Martinsville?

There was really some good racing all over the track. I'm just now watching the recorded race and it does not do the race any justice. It sucks that it got shortened by the rain because I would have loved to have seen a finish like last year.

Last years finish was awesome!...I have it on a hard drive somewhere

...or this

Personal rating - 10 because Tony got the win and the rain saved my ass for picking Johnson in the racing forums game

Actual rating - 0 because even though I enjoyed a little bit of what I saw, I despise rain shortened races. I hate not seeing a real finish and it sucks for all the fans that went out there and paid a lot of money to see half a race.

real racing no crashes well hell lets give it a big fat 0, for real it was a great race9 in my book. they would have had some yellows for something I am sure but they needed to get 100 laps in first.

3 nothing could make me like this track as it is. But a 10 for Kasey not hitting anything.

I only liked it as my pick won this week but that only brings it up to a 6 other then that it be a 3

Per usual, the network missed the best racing. Once again, Hotpass saved the day.
I only use the network for the pre and post race telecasts so I can hear the interviews. As soon as HotPass goes hot I'm there exclusively. As a Jr. fan I'm certain to get his in-car each and every week. I just hope to be riding along with him for the win here soon.

I wondered where you were all day DP. Jr is looking pretty racey these days. :)
It was fun following his ride today. He picked up a few spots before the first green flag pits and then a few more each pit stop. Good stuff but I figured he get busted for a speeding on pit road penalty. His pit crew must have really been on top of their game today. Were you listening to his scanner. Funny s%#t. It's kinda amazing that if it starts raining even a drop it's a torrential downpour when you're close to the front yet if you are near the back you don't even notice the rain.

Define "racing action" for me, FB.

I expect that your definition will differ greatly from mine...

Side by side battles up front for more than 7 laps after the restart. Less than 1/2 a mile seperating the top 10 would be nice too.

Your turn Robby.

I expect your expectations to be much lower than mine....

An 8

Long green runs that forced pit road errors.

Tony won.
Kyle had a good run, not my favorite but I.do respect him.

Jimmy looks done, the haters have to clean themselves and their screens up, as they jabber about Karma.

Then rain saved his day, and makes the haters return to sad, "can't even have karma". So sad.

Good stuff.

And for me. I would pay 2 times the ticket price for IOWA, RICHMOND, DARLINGTON, MARTINSVILLE vs FONTUCKY, KENTUCKY, MICHIGAN, CHICAGO, ATLANTA, CHARLOTTE, KASNSAS, HOMESTEAD.

No different then .....who is it......the Orioles?????? maybe...who claim the have a sell out every game because one guy buys all the extra tix

The Orioles don't claim sell out crowds. And Fontana claimed they sold 90,000 seats which is impossible since over 10,000 seats at a 90,000 seat stadium were tarped off.
