So I will have to remove my boots to count that high ........... leave it to @Revman to make a simple thing complicated
Truex Jr, the 'real deal' this season. Would have a commanding 111 point lead over 2nd position with 6 races remaining should this season have been be scored the correct way. It's a shame to think that all could be lost with one bad race when he's been so dominate for the entire season. Hopefully this made for television format will do its justice and crown the correct champion.
78.5 trillion....
1) Harvick says they have the speed back....without the help from NASCAR? Really? Who knew? ....but, but, but the wind tunnel? Kez et al. look like bigger idiots now.
2) My TRD powered Toyota Camry won!
3) Again, a car not capable of winning at the beginning wins at the end because they worked on it. Pure NASCAR. Great stuff.
4) A pure win. Nobody could catch Martin. Period. Even when he wasn't at his best.
5) Toyota stretches its lead in the Manufacturers Standings to 11 points. The Rude Awakening is real.
How much money you get? You own a share?
Truex and his team executed to get track position. No green flag passes for the lead entire race
Like a commission salesman reversed. The gen 6 is a failed product.
How?It could be all lost with 1 missed lug nut.
What NASCAR bs?6, could have been an 8 if not for NASCAR BS.
Happy they got the whole thing in without any weather delays. Happy the racing was decent
What NASCAR bs?
Hey leave the 18 alone he needed those points lolQuestionable yellows and a damaged car wrecking constantly.
How many zeros behind a trillion ?
7. Clean air. Guys, there wasn't a single green flag pass for the lead I think. Don't overlook that. The gen 6 is a failed product.
See the 88 of Jarrett make laps? Bring back the gen 4 man
Good to read a rate the race post from someone that actually got to see the race rather than the television broadcast.Gonna give it a solid 9. 2nd year in a row I've liked this race. Of course, it didn't hurt I was there at the track this time. Pit road was a crapshoot to see who would come out first. Even on the longest of green-flag runs, there was always someone able to run down the leader. Harvick vs Hamlin, Harvick vs Chase, Kyle Busch vs Larson vs Harvick, Truex vs Chase and Harv. It was a blast watching the running order get shuffled up by pitstops, watching another blazing restart, and then even after 20 laps of the run, "don't look now, but XXXXX is running down the leader". Yeah, it would have been better had they been able to complete more of those passes, but there were still many long and hard-fought battles right up at the front to watch. I didn't even need the scanner to fill me in on the action further back, all the entertainment was right there at the front and on the big screen.
I'm surprised you take the time to watch/post anymore if you find the NASCAR product that bad. You seem to be irritated by every single aspect of the sport. Or, maybe I just read too much into your posts? It is a shame you can't enjoy it though.

I think your comments/questions are fair and I will try and give the Readers Digest answer. I used to love Nascar for the racing and a handful of times each year there is still good racing to be had. Primarily though I am a fan of what is going on with Nascar in terms of its governance, rules, rules applications, constant changes, etc as it is amusing in a "Mystey Science Theater 3K" kind of way. Sometimes I wonder if the honchos at Nascar will ever run out of ways to shoot themselves in the foot.
I love this forum as it features so many different personality types and many I don't run into in the real world. There are all sorts of folks here from the intelligent, thoughtful, funny, interesting and enjoyable as well as other types that bring chuckles. Also the moderation is second to none and you just don't find that sort of thing every day. I don't know how much time I spend on the forum or with Nascar but whatever the amount is it doesn't keep me from my responsibilities or other pursuits. I am normally multitasking when on the forum or watching Nascar which helps too.
I know that you weren't addressing me but I find that statement to be 180° from my own reason for watching (not that there's anything wrong with that). I don't usually care about rules (as long as they're applied equally), Brian France's divorce settlement, how many kids a driver has, what apartment Waltrip is living in or where Earnhardt got married and what he had for dinner.
I tune in to see racing - good, bad or ugly
Don't think they include me in the average. Therefore, my post is encumbered.
LOL........ That's how I feel about the 18........ but...... it's all good...... I'm glad the 78 won..... he's been the class of the field all year..... it will be a travesty if he doesn't win the Cup..... It's clear cut that he deserves it with the way he and his team have run all year...... but...... with Nascar's infinite wisdom and the lottery system.... Ricky Stenhouse might take it home......Any race the 4 doesn't win is my favorite race

I just really..... really...... really ...... don't like the way this thing is structured...... I realize a lot of folks think all this playoff thing is more exciting by eliminating drivers ...... and..... I can see that in in a way......but I still think the driver with the most points overall in the season should be the Champion....... I was deadset against these these segment points at first.... but... I don't have a problem with it now..... it makes them race harder.... I think they shouldn't throw a caution..... just score them at the end of the segment and let the race progress.....use the points to crown the Champion..... Guy with the most points wins.... but..... again ... I'm just an old fart that hates change......... I have always been of the mindset that.... ''If it ain't broke....... don't f@@k with it''......... Nascar wasn't broke till Brian inherited it...... I sure thought Bill Jr. was smarter than that.......I told my wife that very thing the other night .......... Ricky might stumble and fall right into a championship. Its a sad thing that a Goodyear failing to hold air at Homestead could put the 78 right out of the running.

Being consistent throughout the season should mean something, you don't see local saturday night tracks going with a chase format. To me it's ridiculous, I never liked the chase, think the segments are just a gimmick and think the cars are the main culprit in all of this. Hey what do I know tho, I've only been watching Winston Cup....oops Monster for over 50 years and been to hundreds of races. Nascar is greedy, if they don't watch out they will put themselves out of business.Totaling the points at the end of the year is fine ... Nascar is just afraid that somebody will wrap it up before the last lap of the last race. I agree with the "don't fix it if it ain't broke " approach
