RATE THE RACE: Chicago

Now that my cable company finally has a deal with espn for the watch espn app I am said Nascar is leaving. All weekend long I was watching the races on my phone while out and about running errands. It was awesome.

Dang, I missed a good one apparently! Glad there's a replay of it coming up at 10:30 central time on ESPN 2. I'll definitely be watching, then I'll give my rating.

For what I saw a 9.5, great racing today, hopefully I see more of this in the chase
Winner is a 100, you guys know I like Keselowski, back to back wins, I'm loving it.

9. woulda been a 10 if Gordon and Larson were up there battling for the win. Three lanes all day, leader didn't run and hide unless he had one of the best cars. one of the best races of the season.

Does your cable company offer NBC Sports Extra?

There was some pretty good driving at the end. Larson/Harvick put on a pretty good show and Kez got the seas to open for his big pass. I was happy to see a couple non-chasers in the top ten.

Loved the Gordon/Larson battle. Master & the apprentice going at it. Really reminded me of Earnhardt/Gordon.

Every now and then, watching a race turns into a snooze-fest, as did this one at times. Don't get me wrong as there was some good racing but it was spotty and typical of the one plus mile tracks. That is until the last thirty-five laps when things really took off and the alarm bells woke everybody up from their semi-nap.
Kyle Larson is the real deal. Brad Keselowski is the real deal too! Toss in Harvick, JGordon, Logano and you have one exciting finish to an otherwise race rating of a 7.0. Give this one a solid 9.

Sleepy race at times but a Ford win and a Larson effort quickly turned it into an 8.5 for me.

There was 10x more racing than usual at Chicago, but I still rated it the same. That's how bad Chicago can be.

So far, the Brains plan is working.

By far the best NASCAR race I've ever been to. That completely surprised me, I had no idea there'd be that much actual racing at the front.

And to add to the above statement, the speed, power, noise of these cars at this track was unbelievable. I've been around and something about this place really showcases the proverbial balls of these cars.

I'll give the winner a "2"...

Free tickets, food and beer was a 10. :)

700. Great race. Would have been 8,000 with a TRD win. It's coming.
