Rate the Race: Clash at Daytona

7.5. Extra .5 cause Brad won. First half of the race was good, 2nd half sucked. Annoying that race hard at the start of the race, but wait until the last lap to do anything later

Because my boy Brad won. Only thing keeping it from a 1.

7 was better early they waited too long to go

The maximum I'll ever give a plate race is a 6.

I give this one a 3.5. The .5 is because there was only one big wreck and it didn't happen until the last lap.

I'm not the only person who thought this race was boring, rocket scientists.
But you are the only one that rates races based on whether theyre short tracks or not. Botanist. Because rocket scientist is a little too much for you.

No, he's not. I also rate races based on the type of track. As I said in the post before yours, the most I'll ever give a plate race is a 6.

But so what? There are posts in every discussion that rate the race based on who won and even on the broadcast team. Everyone has his or her own criteria.

Rate the race, not each other. If you wish to insult each other's intelligence, do it off open forum.

I can't go much above a 5 for this race. Good early, but faded toward the end.

When you have 3 team cars at the front bent on not passing and then everyone else waiting on it, thats what you get. It didnt have to be single file, we saw that in the first segment. They can pass with this package, just people being overly cautious made this a snoozer and frustrating. The 500 will be different

That's bull.

Here's my rating for the race at Dover, not a short track, last fall:

9/10 ... Dover has been producing fantastic racing the past few years.

Here's my rating for the race at Pocono, not a short track, last summer:

Here's my rating for Las Vegas, not a short track, last spring:

From what I saw, which was the final 60 laps or so, 9.

Take several seats.

I didn't see the race but I gotta say the grades given out are kinda depressing. I hope the 500 is better and is there any kind of rules to give a race a grade? I believe we have grades from 0-8 and thats a huge difference.

My legal team has informed me not to vote.
(real answer I only heard most of it on radio while driving the wife and mother in law to shopping malls in both Greenville and Spartanburg today. And I didn't hear much of anything, the mother in law was just to loud).

I loved them driving around in single file for 20 plus laps of 75. Awesome.

3.

7 cars looked like they work pretty well, didn't see any all of a sudden hooking into the infield by themselves. They ran three wide a lot and that usually doesn't happen for long.

I give it an 8 due to the great early action and some interesting strategy.

First half of the race was great. Second half was a dud. I'd give it a 5 overall. New package produces good racing when the drivers want to race

7 The coverage was so much better than nbc last year, maybe it made the race seem better than it really was (except for the ticker on the left or course). Really was good to see them back on the track.

I don't really enjoy RP "racing" but I was mostly entertained. Probably because I was please to see Cup cars racing.
