Rate The Race: Dover 2

Sorry buddy ........... I Kyle Busch fan and hated most of the race

Scratch becoming the Kyle fan as you already are. Go with the watching differently option. This had everything I was looking for. Fix the car. Get better. Run 'em down on a long run. Will never forget it. Reminded me of Fontana 2013....only it took longer.

You are right ... Kyles performance was outstanding ... as they often are !!! trouble is that there were no other outstanding performances today IMO I am looking for more than that

Was leaning towards a 6 for the majority of the race, faltered to less than a 5 when the minions in the booth and especially the talking heads on MSN started to share a mutual orgasm over the possibility of Chase winning. Then one of the heads on MSN started to pontificate as to how "this is the way NASCAR wants it". Almost barfed.

Thankfully a real racer came back and stole the WWF show from one of the NASCAR ordained so it ended up being an 8.

Do not get me wrong, Chase is going to be a winner, so are a few more that haven't yet, and a couple that already have...but to push the grave on those that are still alive is just wrong.

8.5. Five cars deserved to win today.

"Parity" aerodependency kept it from a 9 for me

7.5. Dover is a very tough track that rewards skill more than some, and I like that. There was a lot of hard combat, and a real cliffhanger finish. Passing was hard, but the best seemed to get it done. I was pulling for Chase Elliott, and he should have found a way by the 31. He was faster, and Newman did not block or do anything wrong. Once the 18 passed Chase, he then sailed on by Newman one lap later. I wanted to see more of a "refuse to lose" spirit from Chase in the closing laps.

Unfortunately, the "Round of 16" is always going to focus on the guys at the bottom of the playoff standings more than on the superstars. The next rounds will be better. Still, I was interested in the battle between 17, 31, and 3 so that was fun to watch.

8 A pass for the win in the closing laps, if that isn't good racing I don't know what else could make a true race fan any happier. Much better than the fuel mileage wins. Looks like Chevys were running pretty darn good, just need to work a little harder.

Even though I hate the #18, I still liked the race. Thank you Truex for not just dominating. 8.0

Tremendous race. My favorite lap. .... 141 ... Larson blew by The Shrub on the outside to take the lead. I'm pretty sure the Ganassi cars are Stovebolts.
