Rate the Race: Fontana

I'll give it a 9. Next weeks race probably won't be as high, considering that Goodyear announced the new harder tires. Here is a picture.

8.5/10... the tires issues definitely caused a lot of drama but it was a joke... The finish was great though...

I'll give the racing a 5 because of the ridiculous tire problems. Would love to see the amount of passing we had on full fuel runs. The finish deserves a 9.

I give both races a10...but i am very surprised the teams let the tire issue get out of control.

It was a damn good race and the tire issues gave it bit more spice, nineish is where I'd place it.

My rating is probably excessive because I was there and...well, it's better in person. Solid 9 for me. It probably could have been a 10 if not for the epic Goodyear fail. Junk tire robbed a good race. Or did it?

8, the racing was great but the tire ultimately ruined my day. Straight up..

Restarts are exciting but..... It did.

Sucked that tires played a big outcome.

Enjoyed it, nonetheless.

I think the forum is split on whether they want softer tires or harder tires to improve racing .

It would have been a 10 w/o the tireblow outs. Also, if Larson would have won. I would have went mental.

The season is still at 9.5 for me.. I think the soft tire added something to the race.. Anyone figure out what the vibration Jeffy had was?

If I gave it more than that, I would have to petition nascar to post tire shooting snipers around the track so we can have more 'races' like that one.

The race gets a 10 without any aestrisks. That was the most complete superspeedway race in NASCAR since the Atlanta Spring race in 2001. Race had it all and there was never a dull moment.

This was the type of strategy race I've been wanting to see for years and years.

I never once felt the need to have to publish my weekly post about re-configuring the track in to a half-mile short track.

It's amazing what tire wear can do for the on-track product.

I thought it was a good race but find it difficult to really get into it with the timing and number of commercials. I understand advertising pays the bills and that they can't really predict cautions but it's rather obvious when there's going to be a challenge(s) for the lead. They seem to seldom miss the leaders approaching lapped cars, however

Has KyBu ever won a race by being conservative? I can't remember any.

I want wider tires, and less camber adjusting on the rear wheels, can't blame Goodyear for the teams that went overboard on the rear wheel camber.

I rate the race an 8, rate the finish with Larson jumping up a hand full of positions at the end and Danica's finish a 10.

They wanted to go fast and they did. Drive the car, save the tires, drive the track, lose the car. Damn double edged swords!!.....

I like the tires being an issue. Some being great on short runs and others on late runs.

I liked Larson outdriving the empty cowboy hat.
