Rate The Race: Pocono 2

I was never excited even when the 2 got the lead. One thing that was better was they put the two chatter boxes in their own spot and so we were not forced to listen to them during the race. Dale Jarrett did an OK job of commentator.
I am wondering if this will be the format next year with Junior being the commentator with the two chatter boxes running out their contract??????

BTW, stated watching at 3:30, paused for supper, watched for 1/2 hour, paused to attend a garden party and finished the race after 11PM. I was on the edge of my seat as the traffic was heavy do to the number of animals on the road.
I give credit to Adam for going all in to get the win. Of course he had the driver to get the job done.

It looked like it was going to be another Busch/Truex battle but Harvick managed to give it a shot in at the end. But Kyle had them covered when it counted.

Just looking at the pre-race lineup before the race started it was a pretty safe bet that either the 18 or the 78 were going to win.

Clean air races are off my list. Boring. NBC was better than ever at being horrible. DJ in the booth isnt a plus and give burton something to stand on, they look like lurch and uncle fester standing on either side of a flat screen tv. but their motor mouths continue. As mentioned, tired of seeing all 6 gibbs cars up front. I wouldn't like seeing my favorite car(s) up front week after week, it gets old fast.
So I give it an .OU812

This was not a clean air race as much as it was a Toyota race. All six Toyotas were able to pass and advance through the field. Dirty air did not slow them down for long. They have something that Chevy and Ford have not found yet.

Also, Pocono has always been a single groove race track. With three relatively flat corners separated by long straights, the bottom groove is the fast groove, and it just gets worse as the bottom rubbers in 'cause that is where everyone runs. Denny Hamlin is promoting the idea of VHT on the middle/top groove. Seems like a good idea to me.

Terrible. Zero excitement in this race. Until other teams figure out what the 78 and 18 are doing that's making them so fast, every race is going to be like this. Like I said last week, Indy would have been the same if they hadn't decided to wreck each other.

Yep, without the wreck that took those two out Indy would have been a sleeper too.

The world survived the 4 car owning the show for a few years

Shocking that there wasn't a late race caution.
I thought for sure the 18 waited to long to go in for tires. Amazing to watch the 18 cut through the field and take the lead after his last stop. 'Bout dang time!

Pocono 2, yeah 2 seems about right.

Reading these comments makes my wonder why many of you even bother watching NASCAR let alone posting here. Wow.

Is that a problem in and of itself?

People don't want to admit it, but if this race had 5x the cautions and 5x the restarts, more would have rated it much higher.

It is the same way on social media, funny though, comments good or bad all get the same rating when the amount of interest and hits are counted.

I give it a 7. I watched the entire thing and it didn't bore me to death. Kentucky and New Hampshire were way worse and Indy was only saved by Truex and Busch wrecking.
