RATE the RACE: Pocono II

I love it when you speak French.

Really?:D

He blew a right rear. Just saying

That would also explain how despite getting a big jump Matt was able to catch him by the time they got to turn 1. Common sense tells us that with a flat tire an increase in centrifugal force is going to exacerbate the issue and cause the 48 to slow. That 48 car was on rails all day so I am think its clear that the JJ was being truthful. And why would he lie? He's accomplished enough in this sport where he can call things as they are. If he'd screwed up he'd just say so.

Watch the in-car camera. He's messing with the brake fan switches as he's entering the corner.I bet he took his eyes off the track to make sure he's turning on the right ones and lost his place on the track.

It also seems like he hits 3rd pretty hard. He got in there too hot and tried to check up hard and lost it.

I have no doubt that he blew a right rear tire. That tends to happen when you scrape it off the side of another car.

The #48 definitely slowed more than the first few cars behind him heading into that corner but I have no idea why.

I see people are saying that he was fiddling with switches and it's not like we've never heard people use the in-car video to back up a claim, correct? I wonder if there's any audio of Johnson complaining to Knaus about his tire going down when he claims to have first suspected it?

JJ can do not right in so many fans eyes, that is why they say he is "lieing". Obviously they were in the car and no exactly what happened and they also know that JJ has zero talent

I don't think he's lying, he's just being a typical driver who will grasp at any reason to explain a spin. I think he thought he had a tire going down during the yellow. Then he cleaned his tires, and the problem went away, so it wasn't a flat afterall. Then he gets in turn 1 too hot and he, along with the #2, get loose (Brad gets loose first, but had no affect on JJ getting loose). Then he thinks "It was a flat", but he said everything was fine after cleaning the tires. He slams Kenseth, and his tire starts going down. Well, duh, now you have a flat. Try cleaning the tires now and see if it goes away. I'm not willing to believe that he got that kind of a jump on a flat tire. All the videos show the right rear tire is up when he gets loose. How on Earth does he make the entry into turn one going that fast if he has a flat? It makes less and less sense the more I think about it.
