Rate the race Pocono

But still I am in a piss poor mood most days.

GET. OVER. IT. :D

Smart folks like you can find work when they want it if they want to badly enough. But by all means, take advantage of your time off and your unemployment income. Hell, you and your previous employer paid into it - and if you don't use it, it goes into Bobby Obama's pocket! (That's a joke, BTW...)

As for the race:

I really liked it! There was strategery and there was slicin' and dicin', bumpin' and runnin', fuel managin', tire manegin' and just enough restarts to keep it all interesting! I love the new surface - but I would really like to see that race without splitters and side skirts and huge-ass spoilers and dog-walkin' racecars.

Thanks to NA$$CAR for easing up on the trans gear rules, allowing drivers the option of shifting. I would love to see 4th gear be an overdrive gear again. Maybe next time!

Race Rating: 8.9
TV Rating: 8.9

Welcome back, TNT!!! You are a welcome respite between FOX and ABC!

Oh hell know. As much as a jackass as I've been here lately? I'd have to delete my account and block myself from ever logging on again.

And my jackass phase will be waning here shortly. I've had a rough couple of weeks. But heading to MIS this weekend will make me feel a lot better.:)

Look me up and I will buy you something cold. Nothing like a little race therapy...

As it stands, I am going to the ARCA race and cup race. If I can talk a lady friend into going up on Saturday, all the better.

Lets meet up on Friday. I'll send you a PM with my cell number. We'll figure it out from there.

Picture from Race Hub that I took of my TV. View is from the blimp taken right before cars started rolling off pit road for pace laps.

I could find a job but I don't want one right now. I want to spend the summer with Aiden while concentrating on school. I am getting an income, it's reduced somewhat but I am OK with that. I will still be able to go to both MIS races, the Brickyard and Chicagoland. It could be worse, right? But still I am in a piss poor mood most days.

I'd say that you've got it pretty good considering the number of people with jobs who can't afford to go to any races.

I never had a chance to rate the television broadcast of this race as I've yet to watch my DVR'd version but the MRN version..... A solid 8.

The fastest car won.

A guy that certainly needed a win won.

Ten different winners with a lot of season left.

My driver ran up front and remained a threat throughout until it turned into a fuel mileage race for him.

The pit road deal only added as a point of reference later on down the road for my memory of this race.

3 hours, 3 minutes. :)
