Rate The Xfinity Race: Daytona II

Ze-******-ro because the win was taken from the guy who actually won.

Lots of whining in this thread about Nascar's officiating. I counted five whines among the 15 posts above. But the yellow line rule rule is very clear, and the infraction was also clear, so Nascar made the correct call. If Nascar did anything else, they would be skewered... and rightly so... for being selective and inconsistent. Save your whines until Nascar is inconsistent or wrong in a ruling, there have been plenty of cases of that, but this race isn't one of them.

I can't rate the race as I didn't see all of it, but I did see the last restart. The 24 clearly went too low, under the yellow line, was not forced down there, and did pass for position.

No, the win was taken from the guy who didn't follow the rules. LewTheShoe posted it best - see post #16 - and until I read his post was amazed at the number of posts made prior, none of which pointed out the rule was broken. Like the rule or not, NASCAR made the right call.

I only saw the last fifty laps and cannot rate the race overall.

9...but do not like the rule and never did. The kid won the race, do not care what NASCAR says...that was a real race win, not a made for TV rule or safety crap rule.

Really miss the old days when real men raced...

8.5 Hate the kid made such a great move and made such a rookie mistake. Love watching Larson, I think he's gonna be the next Earnhardt. Kids got a lot of talent.
