Rate The Xfinity Race: Iowa I

I’ll go 8.5. This was the first Iowa race I’ve actually sat down and watched flag to flag and I was thoroughly entertained. Cup needs a race here.

But not cup races. By the time they made the changes needed for cup racing and all that goes with it, the track would be spoiled.
I could sure watch a triple header with ARCA,( or other lower series)Trucks and Xfinity.

They dont have to do a thing to the racing surface so not sure how the racing would be spoiled?

"Don't have to" but you know Nascar. They still have to build safe walls although I don't understand why. Should not really be required for short tracks IMO

It already has the safer barriers.But to answer your question anyway to take load off of a driver in a crash is a good thing. Drivers are killed at Short Tracks all over the country. Like they say its not the hit, but the sudden stop.
 
Kinda naive to think that cup cars would be great here, they might be, but it also has been proven many times that the lower series at the same track can be the best race of the weekend. And another problem arises with the same cup drivers dominating the other two series in the same weekend which is pretty boring. cries for more stand a lone races would begin immediately, and round an round they go.
 
8.5. Really good race, and the trucks also put on a good show. Really disappointed at the lousy attendance both days. Iowa might be a candidate for a mid-week, made-for-TV cup race. It wouldn't get much live gate, but capacity is small and live gate isn't the point anyway for a mid-week race.

I'd like to know if he picked the next stage winner and the overall winner so I can take him to Vegas with me.

I don't know, why do these other guys tell us about their watching the race?

You are correct! That is your opinion!
 
My point is: they make such a big deal about who "wins" a stage, that, after that, the race is unimportant.
And it wasn't much of a race anyway.
I give it a 5.
