Ready for Bristol

I actually live in Bristol. Off the same road the track is on, in fact. So, if you're planning on coming in for the race, welcome to Bristol! This track is absolutely amazing and if you've never witnessed it first hand, you're seriously missing out.

It's Bristol, baby.

23 degrees here this morning. The 4G towers have been powered up which make for some smooth web browsing tethered to my Android phone. No, contrary to popular belief, the towers aren't just there for the Sprint phones.

Having trouble getting everything set up outside the RV. Too windy and cold. The only good thing is with my hands getting so cold standing outside, it doesn't bother me so much reaching to the bottom of my ice/beer filled cooler for the next BL. My hands are already numb.

Watching the local weather down here and not liking what I am seeing. Sunday/Monday are not looking too good. That can change in a hurry though so probably no reason to worry about it yet. Sounds like it will be far below normal temps the next few nights. Hopefully these tenters down here are smart enough to keep the carbon monoxide emitting heating devices outside.
Thats a big "wont happen to me" problem, claims a lot of people at campgrounds everywhere every year. Hope it clears up for ya DP, keep warm, propanes cheaper than frostbite. ;)

Thank you. I live in an apartment complex near Food City, nobody parks down towards this way, lol. But yeah, I've lived here for about 5 years now and love the area. I was never into NASCAR until I moved here.

Anyway, if anyone is ever in town, feel free to stop by and say hello!

As you can see , we have several forum members there right now , they would likely be up for a hot coffee.:D

Sure, I'll allow someone to take me out for some coffee! I'm probably one of the younger members here and don't enjoy coffee as much as most people I know, but I'm sure I can make an exception or two. :p

DP ..this one's for your forum expense account .;)

Still on the very cold side here. Sunny though, making it feel warmer. Playing basketball with the wife and kids in the park south of the track. Having a blast and keeping warm.

It is the K&N East practices and qualifying. I know a couple of drivers in the race and have been seeing their updates on Facebook and Twitter.

Kevin Harvick better get another Top 10. Too bad about that Daytona crash, but hey, it is what it is.

My dad and I went to Bristol for last year's spring race weekend! :D  Stayed in Asheville instead of Bristol.

Money is a little too tight this year. :(
