Figured I’d throw this out here. I do an annual fishing trip and a big part of it is the food cooked. The meals I have responsibility for are pretty dialed. However, I’ve been trying to dial in my waffle recipe. I think it’s pretty good, but wanted to get some opinions/ any recommendations if you want to try it.
Here it is:
1/2 cup warmed water
1 pack dry yeast
2 cups warmed milk
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1/4 tsp baking soda
1. Mix dry yeast in large bowl with warm water. Let it stand for 5 mins.
2. Add warm milk, melted butter, salt, sugar, and flour to bowl. Mix to smooth and then let it sit covered for 6 hours or overnight.
3. Whisk in eggs and baking soda.
4. Cook the waffles
