Not that bad, really.

It was for a few weeks there but it's improving. Mendoza is back in form and is throwing that nasty slider consistantly.

Fox stunk it up, for sure.

The closer by commitee rule isn't working, they need a consistent middle guy to go with, and then the closer to come in the 9th. They have been very lucky so far, no way can the Sox keep this up and expect to even get the Wildcard. My guess is come trading deadline Hillibrand will be dealt for a releiver. Hate to see him go, but he is great trade bait. Giambi needs to step up or needs to play on a more consistent basis because he is stinking the joint out too. Should be an interesting season, just wish there was some way of stoping the Yankee $$$ team!!! GO RED SOX!

I don't think that will happen anytime soon!

I don't know how big a lead these guys need sometimes, because the starter's work always seems to be in jeopardy when the CBC guys take the field.

Don't get me wrong, I know there's a problem...but I also think that people will settle in.

Oh, and I am most definately in the "Don't trade Shea" camp. Leads the league in RBIs (I think). Some would argue that's only because he bats after guys like Ramirez, Garciaparra and Millar, but isn't that point? Isn't that his job?

Baseball is all about playing with numbers, and Shea has the numbers I like to see. Did you hear that recent rumor about the three way deal with the Cubs and the Reds?

Red Sox get RP Scott Willimason
Cincinnati gets RP Juan Cruz
Cubs get Hillenbrand

While Williamson is a good pitcher, I still can't condone giving him up for anything less than a household name. Gammons started this rumor (as he always does), than Theo denied it even existing. Gammons is always starting trade rumors. :)

As far as Giambi is concerned, he needs to go.

Didn't hear that rumor about Willimason, sounds like a deal that would be great for the Cubs, not so sure it would be good for the Sox. I think Shea is a clutch type of player, don't get me wrong i don't want to see him go either. I just think that they are dangling him out there especially since he is doing so well this season. I couldn't really see why they got Giambi in the first place. Getting Millar was awesome though that dude can play. They do need a closer no matter what unless Embree really steps up and can handle that job. Trott Nixon could be trade bait also, wouldn't be surprised if they sent him first, although he's not worth as much as Hillibrand. As far as the Stankees go, :dual9mm: :dual9mm: :dual9mm: .....LOL.

Get rid of Trot and I will bust heads. He's a keeper.

Mueller is someone they need to KEEP, this guy can field and can pepper the ball when needed.

Gammons usually gets the inside info. on stuff, i'll have to pay close attention to what he says on Baseball Tonight....lol. Love this time of year with hockey playoffs, basketball playoffs, baseball, and of course racing! Hey Celts kicked some butt last night, can they beat NJ though, sure would be nice to see Celts vs Lakers in the finals, would bring back some great days gone by of watching those 2 battle . When my dad was alive we would watch the entire season, not miss a game, and when it came down to Bird ,Mchale,The Chief,Johnson , and Ainge against the dreaded Lakers it was always extra special. The NBA has changed so much since then, i just started watching it again last season, the strike really turned me off, outside of the punks in the league, the competition has been fairly decent. Getting back to the Red Sox....do you know anyone who has sat in the new seats up top the Green Monster?

Nope...I have tickets to the May 17 game against Anaheim and was thinking about trying to get seats up there. I've heard that they aren't that great, so I just got regular tix.
