Flyboy.....it's not my opinion that counts......that's what I'm trying to say.
Case in point is nascar cts driver Brendan Gaughan.....his dad own Coast Resorts (including The Orleans Hotel and Casino) here in Las Vegas....grampa was a racer, dad was a racer....Brendan got the chance to drive off road on the Walker Evans team and won the first race he entered.
They put together a bullring team and the kid goes late model racing....does good wins a few races, but nothing spectacular....They put together a Winston West team using Dad's Orleans Casino as a sponsor. Tells the kid two years. In his 2nd year he wins the WW title and ties down NAPA to move on to CTS. Kid has won two CTS events and is contending for ROTY.
Did Brendon *merit* any of this? Well in one way or another he must have or he would not have gotten it. Same goes for Deb. In one way or another, she worked for what she got. Nothing was *given* to her.
And if ya want to bring in the female aspect.....which it seems obvious you do....Think of Miss America. She's not "given" the crown. Nobody knocked on her door and said "yer it". She earned the crown by doing what was needed to get it. Deb earned her ride by doing what was needed.
Does she deserve to be on the track? Well, in nascar it's 36 on time with 7 provs. Each starter deserves to be there simply because they be ones getting to take the green flag. Doesn't matter how, or what they did to get there. They got there.
So it torks ya cause you don't like the route she took? Well shucky dern. Life just ain't fair. Too bad the fair only comes to town once a year.
