...and NASCAR won't talk until after the appeal...and RFK won't talk....transparency.....got it. Stupid. Old Gen attitude with the Next Gen car. There is no reason to be so secretive. Everybody uses the same ****. It isn't like somebody will go down a path....there is no path.

Wow….the 6 didn’t appear to be heading to a playoff spot anyway but this doesn’t help. Like to see the org get a win this year for Jack.

Read what rules 14.1 (Overall Assembled Rules) and 14.5 (Body A&D) are, that's the violations.

Yeah, but that still doesn't tell us anything.

I'm not interested in what rule they violated, I'm interested in what they actually did to receive the penalty. Why can't NASCAR disclose any details of what happened? A little context and transparency would be appreciated.

I mean the window the engineers have to work between is narrow as ever, you could go .00001 over tolerance and you could get hit with a penalty.

Could be an error using CAD or something a simple as using bondo...

Nascar took some cars back to the R&D center after Atlanta and that is where they found it. They said they were taking them back to Dyno the engines. They took one each from Hendrick, SHR, Penske, Gibbs, Kaulig, and Kez. Maybe more but I don't think so.
In the past they wouldn't penalize teams when they found something at R&D. That didn't make any sense. Kez got the wake up call.

This whole thing is such a joke.

1) If you can't find it at at the track IMO you shouldn't be able to penalize anyone for it.

2) Just tell us what the damn penalty was. They wonder why there's so many conspiracy theories when you hammer someone and site some obscure rule number. Put it on the table, show us what was illegal with scans or measurements or whatever they used to determine it was illegal

This wasn't in the original article I read. Losing 10 playoff points. Assuming Kez makes it into the playoffs

1.That makes zero sense. If you are illegal you are illegal thats why they take random cars back to the RD center so they dont have to stay at the track until dawn doing inspection.

2. They told you what area they violated why do you need a detailed description?

but the dumb part was they got a slap on the hands when they got caught compared to this year you get your ass busted. Works for me.

I'm going to take a guess and say it had to do with something to do with the rear wheel wells?

1) I guarantee if you look hard enough at every car in the race you'll find something illegal (intent doesn't matter)

2) some people like to actually know what's going on instead of just taking the word of someone that a part was illegal. That's like getting pulled over for speeding and the officer refusing to tell you how fast he got you on their radar, but giving you a $5,000 fine

1. Don't think so, it isn't 2005 anymore.
2. I'm pretty sure they know what the problem was, and there is an appeal process if they don't agree. It isn't a kangaroo court, many penalties have been reduced or eliminated.

I'm surprised that nothing happened to the Yotas at AutoClub for their illegal intake screening.

1. You wouldnt believe how hard they look and if its there it will be found.

2. You make it sound like NASCAR would lie about it but I guarantee you the people who need to know have been notified and shown what it is.

Sounds like not only part, but maybe some kind of coating on part/parts that OSS Inspection couldn't pick up. IMO
