Richmond Busch race comments

I knew if Johnny could get up to Matt, he was going to run him out of the way, because Johnny's raced liked like that his career. I wasn't that mad about that because it was just short track racing to me and he and Matt had been getting together earlier. What made me mad was Kevin Harvick sticking his nose in something he wasn't involved in. In my book Kevin is more ****y than Kurt Busch and and by the reactions of the #17 crew I think he said more than what he said he said to Matt.

I don't think Johnny will go after Matt tomorrow or any other time.....

It's just that after Mark and some other drivers comments about him at Bristol and now after tonight he more than likely has NASCAR's attention. He may get to visit with Helton in the red trailer tomorrow before the race.

They won't be too upset about the bump and run I don't think. But both Mark and now Matt have commented on being "out of control". If NASCAR thinks Sauter is driving over his head and getting folks into jams on the track, they will yank his chain.

That is exactly what happened to Todd Bodine last year.

Matt & Mark are the same way...they made their points when the camera was on them & it will be forgotten about. Mark & Matt will not go after Johnny or Kevin tommorrow or in the future, but it's a driver like Kevin that will try to fester these things up again in the future.

While it was a good race and a good finish tonight, One thing seems to have been missed. David Green is now the Busch Series points leader! Go David!!!!!

'Ol Kev sure has in it for the Roush boys...first the #16 when he was in the #60, then the #97 & now Matt. I'm sure Kev won't mess with Matt tomorrow, 'cuz with the #16 & #97 as Matt's teammates...it will come around to bite Kev in the rear. Hehehe.

I hope so. I don't notice much of a difference in Kevin's attitude between this year and last year. Sure he doesn't try to attack people anymore or announce he's going to wreck someone over the radio, but he seems just as ****y now as he was last year.

Can't teach an old dog new tricks...it'll be hard to tame Kurt too.

David's had a lot of bad luck this year too. The one I"m worried about is Vickers, but his inexperience could end up costing him at the end of the year.

Night folks! I've ranted enough tonight!!! LOL. I see Maj is on now & I don't want to end up in timeout! ;) (I have to get up early for that ARCA race tomorrow any ways!) Night!

chicken****! :D

Well my congratulations to Johnny Sauter, wasnt around for the Busch race because I was dead........
..
..
asleep. Anyway congrats to that man !

17_Fan, you might not like Kevin, but you gotta admit.. he's one helluva driver. I didn't catch the race due to work, but I heard that Matt was a little whiney after it. If he dont like getting bumped in racing, then he should go to CART or F1. He gets mad at Johnny and Kevin for racing him... isn't that the whole purpose of being on a race track?

slick-nick, it was just a little bit more than "bumping" that was involved. Just wait for the replays. You'll see. It was a great race!

You find out any replay times before I do, let me know.

That was a great race... I got a little tired of Kenseth whining though, and I'm glad he didn't win. I'm starting to like Harvick more and more each race, and Kenseth less and less...

So do I, personally I just hope Harvick beats the living crap out of Kenseth's quiet ass tomorrow night.

Just like Chad Little....

I'm Glad to see the Short track spirit Lives On. Yarrrggggh matey !!

I honestly do not see what the big deal was... Sauter wanted that win really bad, and he did what he had to do. Pretty much everyone has done it, intentional or not.
If it would have been Kenseth who did the bump, not nearly this many people would be complaining. "Oh, he didn't mean to. He wouldn't do that." Give me a break.

Kenseth doesnt belong there if he thinks that he can race at Richmond, push Johnny Sauter around and think that there wont be any repricussions. He's certainly the next crybaby for just getting mad at Kevin Harvick for just racing.

I'm a bit surprised cuz Kenseth usually has this quiet little girl persona and now he does a complete 180 and becomes a whiney little girl !

Hey guys, just read through your thread here. I was watching the race but I wasnt where there was a computer, otherwise I would have been here with you guys.

First of all, I think that was the best race Ive seen all season. Everything about it was just stellar, even the TV guys were on their top game. Tony seems a natural in that TV booth.

Shane Hmiel, what the heck was he thinking?

For some reason, I saw the Hornaday/Riggs wreck coming. The fact that Riggs hung on to a car like that for so long and the crew kept at it shows how much they want that championship.

When Kenseth and Sauter came out of turn 4 both sideways I thought for sure it was over for both of them, but they both saved it, great job by both of them. And then Kenseth saving the car again on the final lap after the bump, that was an awesome save, he was sure on top of that wheel.

Harvick sticking up for his teammate and showing that he genuine cared and wanted for him to win was nice, and that altercation after the race between him and Kenseth was no big deal in my book, just two men talking things over, no punches thrown, no shoving. No harm, no foul.

The interview with Sauter in victory lane, asking him if he meant to punt Kenseth on the last lap, he said, "absolutely." That was pretty funny, dude doesnt back down. I think he will make a very good WC driver in the near future.

Overall, awesome race, best race Ive seen all season, but again, any race is awesome at Richmond.

When they asked Sauter if he intentionally moved Kenseth out of the way, he said yes. I think that was the most truth i have heard out of a driver.

Another thing, it was great to finally see some emotion out of Kenseth. Someone stated that Kenseth was quite the "bad boy" earlier in his career, but he has calmed down a lot in WC, great to see that side of him come out again.

I can't believe it. 17 Quote, "What was 21 doing running up under us like that"? Uh, DUH. He was going for the win.
What a sore loser 17 is. Runs all over Johnny and then says Johnny was driving dirty to do the bump and run. How many times has he seen that done? All I can say is, "Way to go Johnny". What are the NASCAR drivers coming to? Do they think that they are a bunch of untouchables? That goes for NWC and BGN.
