Friday night looks good. Sunday's looking like race day though it'll be nippy. Typical for Richmond -- the weather's nice and then on race day, the coldest rainy weather comes in.
 
Andy..... Ever the pessimist.

I'll go with the 50% that it doesn't rain all day and night. My guess is that at the very best there's a 50% chance that the weatherman is correct. :cool:
 
Cold weather equals greater horsepower and less traction. Should make for an interesting CUP race!
 
Not if the track surface is really cold and the tires are really hard (which they seem to have been all year)...

Too hot and the surface gets greasy. Too cold and the tires never come up to optimal temperature.
We shall see...

Yep. Although I think it's apparent you and I both have different tastes in racing.
 
I like racing! I don't like destructor plates and I don't like single-groove bump-and-run.
But we both love the scent of unburnt hydrocarbons, scorched rubber and the sounds of 850HP fire-breathing V8 engines, right?
 
Weather.com says 30% chance showers. I think your weather man is depressed. Or my weather man is optimistic. Take your pick. We are gonna race Saturday.
 
But.... Intellicast ranks it at 60% chance of showers.

I say. There's a 95% chance these guys don't really know what they are getting paid for.
 
Every forecast that I look @ for that area is different. The best one that I see makes it look like they can get the race started and finished on time. I'm sticking with that one. If that should happen, tomorrow still looks good. At least where I've been checking.
 
Damn I wish I'd have been able to go. Cancelling those plans hurt. Hurt bad. Real bad.

Not to Worry! Those guys are only correct 50% of the time, so if their only 50% right at forecasting and say there's a 50% chance of rain that means there's only a 25% chance :) Good to Go!

Finding out I couldn't go because our photographers and editor went to the race is frustrating. I hope it gets rained out so they're screwed out of the money they spent just like I got screwed out of the money I spent and, quite honestly, could use.

It's not raining in Maryland yet but it's going to around 4pm. They're expecting most of the rain to be north of Richmond (aka, where I live, tonight, cancelling the baseball game).

I don't mean everyone, just the people who screwed me out of going to this race so they could go. I was wronged bigtime on this.

Gee wonder what happened there ? Andy's editor went to the race and took two racefans with him instead of asking Andy to go . Hummm. We would have taken you Andy.
