Is it too early to start one of these yet? Oh well I just wanted to make it because I will be gone the rest of the week and so I just wanted to say a few things before that.

I'm just going to say Gordon will make the chase and Kurt is out of luck here.

Being only 6 points out of the top ten Gordon will own it being on the offensive end of things. Dont know about you Gordonites but I am sort of glad he's the one chasing and not the one defending. That gives him an edge to be as agressive as he needs to be plus the desire along to be in the chase will give him the boost.

I know that Kurt has been stellar this year but I bet he wishes he had to fend off someone else other than Gordon. :D

Good luck all and may the best driver win. See you all next week

Oh and yeah, if this falls flat on my face, have fun with it. :p

i think it will be close. Kurt has been great and he knows he'll have to finish ahead of Gordon to not risk anything but also in touch with Kahne so he doesn't lose the ten spot. Long green runs, I take Gordon. alot of restarts, I'll take Kurt.

Gordon hasn't exactly been stellar at Richmond as of late.

He's been better then the record would tell you.

For the past 4 years he's had an 8th, 3rd, 2nd, 12th, 3rd, 2nd with a few outside the top 15 finishes due to crashes.

There was that one time where that dummy Menard cause the caution so his teammate could win. I'd say he's done pretty good overrall.

I'm looking forward to this race in a major way! I'm so excited about it with all the different possible scenarios playing out.

Last year it was a great night and Gordon pulled off the comeback. This year I think Kurt will get it done and get in to the Chase, where he belongs I might add. Either way, I can't wait!!

It is possible for both to get in. Gordon win, Busch second. Knocks Newman and Truex out.

Wouldn't that be nuts? Truex finally gets a win and still doesn't make it in lol. I just think KuBu deserves to be in over Gordon but that's just my opinion. I still remember Kyle choking that Chase berth away last year, and how stoked Gordon was after. If its anything like last year it should be a fantastic night of racing and nail biting for some!

Gordon has to do more than just beat Busch; he has to be at least seven positions ahead of him AND no less than nine positions behind Truex. Obviously a win takes care of everything.

Nothing against Jeff, but I'd like to see underdog Furniture Row in regardless of who's behind the wheel.

Oh I didn't mention Biffle. He can also fall out of the top ten if he has a mediocre night.

Truex is of no concern to Gordon. Its all or bust for him.

He's going for a top ten in points he doesn't have to worry about people behind him who already have a win. Other than winning a race himself he cant do anything about it.

Now refresh my memory for a sec, did Bowyer win last year on a fuel mileage strategy?

I love Richmond, especially when the tempers start flaring, and the bumpers start banging. I think besides the 500 (which turned out to be a dud) this was the race I was looking forward to the most.

I will be in OCMD. Will be watching the race at the purple moose. The more bowties the better. I'll take Kurt.

As a diehard Gordon fan, this race last year was awesome for me. His car was junk the first half of the race but Gustafson made some aggressive adjustments and Gordon tore straight through the field. It was vintage 24, and got him in the Chase. If he would've had more time I'm sure he would have chased down Bowyer and won.

I still have a ton of confidence in Gordon, but I can't say the same about Gustafson and his crew. To be honest, I'm pretty worried/nervous heading into this one.

It isn't like you can watch his pit box during the race and be sure he'll show up there.
Wow, is this Eff Jr. Day? Damn. :D That's okay. On a side note..... Did Kes buy his tickets yet to the final ten races this year so he doesn't miss seeing the Chase? Tickets aren't to hard to come by these days. Those Chase positions though, that's a different story. :p

I suppose the good thing is he's got nothing to lose. It's not like he can lose a spot in the Chase, he's gotta go for one and it ended up working out for him last year. To be honest though, I don't like his chances this year.

Alright Kez last shot. If the 1980 US hockey team can pull off a miracle you can do the same!

That's going to scare off more than it will attract..:) Kez and Truex..america's most wanted..

lol Now we're talking.

Kez is taking a year off AFTER WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP. Jr is taking the last decade off after....wait, that comparison doesn't work.

Jr has figured out where his pit is finally, and I think they monkeyed with his tach so he doesn't get speeding penalties. o_O

If either the #55, Brian Vickers or #14, Mark Martin wins the respective car will make the Owners Chase spot. Interesting? I think so.
