Rumor that Rick Ware Racing may be up for sale...and potential buyers are "interesting." Any have insight?
 
Only thing I've heard that was somewhat credible was that RFK was possibly going to run a 3rd car through some type of agreement with RWR. Whether that be selling or leasing a charter.

I think if he puts his 2 up for sale I think the value of charters drops in a hurry. You already have 2 SHR charters floating around out there in limbo. You add 2 more to the mix and I don't see a high demand for them right now.

I don't see it happening but if 2 were to become available it would be the perfect opportunity for someone to partner with JR and go cup racing.

Rick Ware has made it known on the NHRA side that he wants to add a second car. Maybe he's seeing Tony Stewart syndrome.

Running Top Fuel is ~5 Million a year for one car and ~8 Mil for 2 cars. About 1/4 the cost of one cup car, 1/5 less for 2 cup cars, etc. And wayyyy less drama at the sanctioning body side.

Even as pissed off as Tony Stewart is at his crew, he'll be money ahead after dumping the charters. Rick might be eyeing the same endeavor.

Maybe he wants to get right out of NASCAR and jump into NHRA full time like Tony.
His NHRA teams are pretty strong now. NASCAR, not so much.
