Hockey legend Gordie Howe has passed away at age 88.

I don't remember Gordie in his halcyon days. My memories are of him playing for
the Houston Aeros alongside his sons --- Mark and Marty.

The world has lost another true legend of the sports world. He didn't transcend sports like Ali did, but to hockey fans he was practically a god. I'm by no means a die hard hockey fan, but I am a huge sports fan and I know the reverence that there has always been for Gordie Howe among sports fans across the board.
