Robert Pressley will reunite with Melling Racing this weekend at Talladega to drive the #92 Dodge, sponsored by Melling Engine Parts. Pressley drove for Melling at this year's Daytona 500, where, during time trials, he qualified in 4th position. He finished the race in 22nd. Chip Ganassi Racing and Melling had originally put together a collaboration, entered by Chip Ganassi, for Talladega, whereby rookie Jamie McMurray was scheduled to drive the #42 Melling-owned and prepared car. In a quick and unfortunate turn of events, Pressley takes over the wheel from McMurray, who is now scheduled to drive in the #40 car for the injured Sterling Marlin. The car now becomes the #92 Melling Racing entry, with assistance from Chip Ganassi Racing. The #92 Melling Racing Dodge captured both pole positions at Talladega in 2001, and in it's last five superspeedway races, has qualified no worse than 4th. Robert Pressley currently drives the #18 Square D / Dickies Dodge Ram in the CTS, and Pressley has scored two victorie's Daytona and Michigan in his first season in the trucks.(Melling Racing PR)
