Our license plates consisted of 2 letters followed by 3 numbers.
I pulled in to get gas and the car in front of me has BR 549, I tried to talk him into selling me the plate, illegal but this is RI, he said he's turned down $1,000 for it. A bit rich for a joke.

I did have a vanity plate back then and I had 'GOTCHA' from Laugh In
Put a 428 HO out of a Grand Prix M 22 in my '64 Chevelle also a 12 bolt.
We did some street racing here so I left the 283 emblems on, hence the GOTCHA hehe

1/3 of the country watched Hee Haw they said on the news tonight. They had a really nice piece about him. He lived in Tulsa for 51 years, I worked on a house across the street from him and he came over to his neighbors to see what was going on and I got to meet him, down to earth guy.
