Rumored new scoring system

Eh I don't see changing the point system will encourage an all out race. I do agree with the article that the midsection of a race is boring, but no matter what changes to the point system you're going to have, the midsection will always be boring. So I say cut out the midsection. Have the Cup race last as long as the Nationwide or ARCA race.

My point system 43 points for the win and 1 point for last place 5 extra for the win who ever has the most at the end of the year wins

What the top 12 would have looked like in just the Chase races under the proposed structure not counting any bonus points because no one knows what they'll propose.

I dont think this is the problem though....
 
I dont know maybe it could work. Winner recivers 43 points for the win + 5 bounus points for the victory +2 points for leading the most laps. Winner could get up to 50 points.
 
I wonder what the points penalties will be for everyone but the 48 will be for getting caught.A 250 point hit would be devistating.
 
They really need to change the bonus points thing. Maybe you get 5 points for every 20 laps you lead or something like that. Giving someone 5 points for just staying out under caution is pretty silly.
