Youngster Howard holds off veteran Kimmel at Salem
SALEM IN (4-27-03) By Don Radebaugh -

With a standing-room-only crowd, seventeen-year-old Shelby Howard did what no driver has done for nearly three years – deprive hometown favorite Frank Kimmel a victory at Salem Speedway.
Howard, with Kimmel looming large in the mirror, held off the master of the renowned, southern-Indiana oval in the dramatic, closing laps of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 Sunday afternoon scoring his career-first ARCA RE/MAX Series triumph.

Side note- Deborh Renshaw drove the #27 Alice Cooper car and quailfied 3 but started on the pole after Kimmel had to go to the back. Sh eis the real deal if she can get the right car under her. I am kinda glad that she did not take the #54 BGN car, with the way its running now people would think it was her driving and not the car.
