Showdown RACE thread

Glad to see the Danica hate comments subside. I'm not a fan of her, but it's disrespectful to bash a fan base of any driver. Put yourself in the shoes of Danica fans before making comments.

ANYWAY.....really hoping we get a race in tonight. Would hate to see the momentum of this morning's Showdown get squashed. The final segment may have been the best final 10 laps I've ever seen during a race.

I vote for, let's use their aeropackage and have a competition caution with 10 laps to go every week.

They used to do that at the Martinsville Late Model race. :idunno:

It's a little different when you smear someone into the wall. I don't mind contact, but squeezing someone into a wall when they're clearly faster is cheap. How exactly is that racing?

The driver getting squeezed into the wall wouldn't be in that position if they were fast enough to be leading the race before that happens.

NASCAR is a contact sport. If you don't like getting moved out of the way, then find another job.

All the hall of famers have done it. I draw no issue with it.
 
Dirty driving, cheating in general, blocking/holding the line, fan votes, etc. - with many of our learned, fair-minded and totally objective posters, it all depends on whose ox is being gored.

Funny, the majority of races are won without that happening. Think you have your contact sports mixed up.


LOL I guess restarting 10th and driving it to 2nd in 6 laps doesn't show you're fast enough. Solid outlook you have on the subject.

Yeah she's been a real whiz in Nascar and Indy. Person should be so proud of a driver that is on a well funded team and still is lucky to end up mid pack race after race. She couldn't even beat the wrecked/repaired cars. Sorry but I don't see anything to be proud of in her efforts so far.

Yeah and everyone who's driver finished 2nd or worse call them boring.

And if it was s Chase squeezing Kyle chances are great you'd have no issue.

She hasn't even won or even contended for a win in an Xfinity or truck race. How does one become worthy of a top tier cup ride never even coming close to a win?
