this is best moderated forum on the net. any hot button subjects belong in the podium

I think you might be surprised at the number of posters in there.
The subject can get so heated, divisive, and controversial, it can bring out the worst in some. Can't have that spreading hatred in open forum.
The owner made the call to separate The Podium to a closed forum.
It would be hilarious to see 2 people being at odds in the podium and then have to be lovey dovey in civilized land.
Not necessarily "lovey dovey" but it happens all the time. Play by the rules of the section.
I love you, BobNot necessarily "lovey dovey" but it happens all the time. Play by the rules of the section.
Lets not get too ****y here.this is best moderated forum on the net. any hot button subjects belong in the podium
You seem to be the only one that doesn't get it. This forum actually is what it is. It's privately owned; look around, no advertisement. Play by the rules or go to one of the forums with thousands of active members. I've been on forums that have thousands of members that aren't well moderated, you chose to leave those out.Lets not get too ****y here.
Theres forums on various subjects with thousands of active members that are kept well in line & organized.
This forum is awfully tiny & the only active mod is lucky it's not much bigger because she'd be way in above her head. FWIW this forum and the mods are not above reproach.
No, I get it. I currently own a couple of prolific blogs and am partnered on a podcast. Ive built, owned and moderated a couple of large gaming forums as a teenager. I certainly understand that vitriolic nature of open online forums. And before you get to it - no I am not sharing my 'proof'. It would release my personal information. You seem to be the only one that doesn't get it. This forum actually is what it is. It's privately owned; look around, no advertisement. So without proof of what you're claiming, you could just be sitting in someone's mom's basement. No, I get it. I currently own a couple of prolific blogs and am partnered on a podcast. I could care less if the forum is privately or server owned. Doesnt change the overall atmosphere.
I play by the rules (mostly) & Im on those same forums with over a thousand active members. Its pretty uniform.
The reason I didnt mention other forums that are a mess is because this forum is better organized than those. They are irrelevant in the debate of "best moderated forum" on the internet.
Are you done?
You got me.So without proof of what you're claiming, you could just be sitting in someone's mom's basement.
I figured as muchYou got me.

They left the door to upstairs unlocked, I see you noticed too. They should be coming for us with straight jackets any secondI thought you were confined to the basement !

Problem is that multiple prior threads were created on the same subject & they all caved into beratement. Doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result is foolish. The right move was made. If youd like to continue the subject at hand, ask for Podium access.I think things should play out until they reach the point of becoming personal attacks on someone
It happens plenty. It would be hilarious to see 2 people being at odds in the podium and then have to be lovey dovey in civilized land.
That's not a problem. I've gone at it hammer and tongs with someone in one thread and had his or her back in another on plenty of forums. I'm disagreeing violently with SOI over on the 'Parity' thread, but I've agreed with him on any number of other occasions. It goes back to attacking a person's positions, not the person himself. It would be hilarious to see 2 people being at odds in the podium and then have to be lovey dovey in civilized land.
ON-TOPIC controversy drives content. As someone else said, I'm here for sports, not politics or dog-grooming, or 'My Little Pony' modification tips. If I wanted political discussions, I'd be on a political forum or in the Podium.I think things should play out until they reach the point of becoming personal attacks on someone. controversy is a good thing. Without it there is nothing to talk about. I guess the point wasn't to slam the powers that be, but to simply say hey, controversy drives content.

How can you put a thread on ignore?already put on ignore.
Don't click on it.How can you put a thread on ignore?
That would be funny but you are spot on about following the rules wherever you are. I don't think I need to go to the Podium in order to rip anyone a new one as they already know who they are.
How can you put a thread on ignore?
Over the counter trading, maybe? Not sure lolOTC?
