Snow's on the Way!!!

Oh my gosh mlite, I have probably hit your grand dad's house a time or two with a golf ball.  I play that course quite a bit.

Do you have enough snow to run sleds yet?  We had enough the other night that some have had theirs out in the ditches.  About 6 inches.

I'm not a huge fan of ND but I do have a pretty good job here and my family lives here.  I like the wide openess but hate the wind.  I also like the change of season especially having snow at
Christmas but winter does get a bit long.

I think if I could live anywhere that I have been it would be in the Charlotte NC area.  I abolutely loved it there.  And the people seem to be more friendly and open to newcomers than they are here.

The wind really is a pain there. My other Granddad has their farm down Carson way( bought fifteen or so miles from Elgin.) That's where dadd is orginally from, and Mom is from St. Anthony. How long you lived there?

Small world Alaska!!  How long have they been here?  Do they like it?

About 5 years. They rent a little house on 14th street near downtown. She's a waitress he's on disability from work accident.

They like it just fine there. Small town people with big city conveniences. They are considering moving back up here in the next few years but don't seem to be in as much of a rush as I am to get them here. I need more time spoiling the grandkids. :)

mlite: I have lived here in ND since 95. Moved up here from Norman OK to be closer to my folks and brother. I grew up only 100 miles down the Misssouri River in a little town called Mobridge in SD. So this is pretty much home for me. Elgin/Carson, pheasant hunters paradise!!!!

Alaska: I know how anxious you are to have your grandkids around. My folks were very excited when I told them we were moving back. They really didn't know their grandkids until then. Family is important to me. I only wish I could convince the to move to North Carolina.:p
