So Nascar has trashed the points system and they have trashed the qualifying system . Why in the world do they still draw for the qualifying order . Trying to hold on to the past ?

Drawing for a slot is an advantage on the qualifying runs because if you are the closer to the end of pit road you can get out first and qualify on a clean air track.

Doesnt matter if another team is waiting for cloud cover, draft partner, etc...

For the most part I agree. I think it will be more of a factor next year when they cut down the length of most rounds.
