A rare weekend i with none of the top three series running this weekend. What to do, what to do?

For me, it's time to get out of the house after this long ass winter and do some yard work. I just purchased 55 trees for the border of my property so I guess it's time to start planting. What's everyone's plans for this off week?

Made the 3 hour trip to visit the family. Haven't been here since Christmas. Arrived at mom and dad's yesterday, and won't go back home until Sunday morning.

I will be working this weekend so the young pups can spend Easter with their families.

I guess basketball will have to suffice this weekend. My OSU Buckeyes are still alive, so at least I still have a vested interest. I miss the days when the Nationwide (then Busch) Series used to race at Hickory every year the day before Easter. I always liked that track.

I start workin next week so Ill just be sittin around enjoying the relaxation. Next week Ill be knee deep in pool sludge feeling like Im inside a microwave. My local dirt track don't open til April 20th so maybe Ill watch some R U Faster Than A Redneck or something to get my racing fix lol.

55 trees to pee on? Lucky Dogs.

I think I'll try to do some actual work.

Trucks or something should have a race tomorrow. Going with the fiance to see a titanic artifact exhibit Saturday then between the families for Easter.

No race and rain likely here. Guess I'll troll some message boards and catch up on some porn.

Currently busy season for me, so working on Saturday. Sunday, maybe some time to get some fishing in before visiting family (we all know that there wont be enough time, can dream can't we)

More photos of local short tracks plz - Tazewll looks great.

Grand Prix - the movie (best sound of any racing movie)
If there was ever a movie I would like to see redone with modern special effects , it's this one. But how youdo this without loosing the the awesomeness of this movie is a tough chore I bet. Rockford was kickass in this movie :)

I did some yard work this morning and had Indian buffet for lunch. We're both getting over colds so the plans are to just take it easy. I think there's some golf on to nap through.

I wish I had a local track. The old Columbia Speedway closed before I moved here. The grounds are now used for festivals and the occasional flea market.

Nice video. When you looked in the cooler and back at the race boat, if seemed like you were wondering if your choice in boats was worth it. ;)

Lol...I promise you I couldn't afford the gas in that boat. :D And it looks hard to fish out of.

One of those guys is a smoker?

Nice fish Johali. Did you name them before you ate them? "Now I'm gonna eat Marilyn". ;)
Thats a stock picture, Ill post some of my catches and the new boat sometime. Eating Marilyn Porgy? Sounds good to me

Those in the middle are them exactly. Wow. We just call it snapper. Good eating and good for smoking if big enough. They are in abundance down here. You always hope for a 20 pounder but as of yet I'm not quite there. You could smoke the biggest one there....in fact my neighbour did

All three pictures are Porgies found in the Gulf of Mexico but you almost need a magnifying glass to tell the difference. Average size here is about 1 or 2 pounds, scale it- gut it- spice it- and throw it on the grill, damn good eating.

They are the same as ours absolutely. One the preferred species down here for the table :)

I caught this one in November...actually 15th of November as I took a mate out for his birthday
