so what is going to be the new points system?

What a load of B.S.. Here is the head gerbil, the point man, the leading guy who tried to change racing to a stick and ball game show, and he throws only Nascar under the bus. Never heard a peep out of him until now. Some wrong decisions were made? NBC doubled down with the basketball brackets last year. Kenny says I'm like you I didn't mind the last race determining the championship? Jeff says We tried to make the sport better for them...how does that work when the attendance for the playoffs fell every year?

This was never for the fans and always for NBC and TV ratings. Our intelligence was insulted by the belief we wouldn't realize that.

It’s always been insulting that the entire fiasco the last 12 years was “for us” because frankly we’re too stupid to know what we want and tv will tell us what we like. GTFO. At least Jeff Burton is consistent, company man sellout till the end. The Mayor…always spoken like a true politician.

This is will pretty clear then in the fall. Ratings continue to fall, it wasn't the system. Ratings go up....system works, right? Is this the metric we are going to use? ....and then we will continue to fall back on the "true full season championship" if the results don't fit the narrative. Can't wait. Who are the "redneck" fans Kenny talks about anyway? The rhetoric is endless.

This guy has huge coconuts. All the money in the world to Carl Edwards it, and walk alway to avoid answering questions that mean absolute **** to him at this moment. He made a promise to Joe, and he is keeping it. Take note Carl. Could have ranted about being screwed. Didn't. Should be interesting to see if "US" boo him this year. Imagine that.....Cup racing because he gave his word to his owner instead of racing to fund his dirt career or something. Seems like a horse US can hook our wagon too to me.

You are free to use any metric you choose. I use many including the B.S. metric. That one has been reduced substantially.

You use whatever serves your narrative, really. I think there is a contingent who don't mind empty seats so that the "real fans" (Are those the "rednecks" Kenny refers to?) can have room to stretch out, and enjoy their regional sport in peace. Maybe we put the sport back on Wide World of Sports and show recorded snippets? I think NASCAR tried to grow the sport...didn't gain any fans, and then lost the "true fans". Now the mission will be to gain them back. Should be pretty cheap to do. Screw garage access, nice facilities, etc....let's get back to the hardcore types....I guess the "rednecks"? The "true fans" who understand the sport the way their messiah, Mark Martin, understands the sport. Keep those newbies out......and for God's sake, get rid of those foreigners! Dat ain't NASHCAA!!!!!!!
 
...and meanwhile back at the F1 ranch, ratings skyrocket, and fans are eating it up. The "racing" is pathetic....if we define racing as the US do---passing and such. But "we" want our old NASHCA back!!!!!

I would like to pass along my thoughts and prayers to all that have suffered over the last 12 years. The pain must have been unimaginable. Can't wait for the new system to bring back those who have suffered the greatest.

LOL. Start times? Playing your number games again. Take a look at the apples to apples stuff with regard to start times, etc. You don't hear F1 types bitch about their sport the way NASCAR US's do. The **** is old. Can't wait to get to Bowman Gray when the high temp will be in the 30s next week.....even though it seats 17K, it won't stop 50K from bitching about it from their living rooms.

You seem to be the one doing the trolling these days. You lost the argument for the game show elimination round points system, you, Jeff and Wallace liking the one race lottery championship deal, F-1 might be for you. To hear you say it, F-1 is where it's at, they all love it, nobody complains and the racing is perfect. There are plenty of Nascar trolls already.

Deflect, duck, dive, and troll....Not sure I ever argued in favor of the old system....I mean the most recent old system....not the old system that we are going back to.....if that makes any sense, but you go kid. I put my money where my mouth is and bought the tickets...you? .....and if things lay out correctly....I might head to Homestead..or wherever the championship might be decided....again, you?

It’ll be much harder for anyone to Mickey Mouse their way to a title now, as you’ll need to be more representative by stringing together 26 good and then 10 great races in succession. Someone who wins one race and finishes 15th in the regular season will have a much steeper hill to climb now than he did in 2024.

That doesn't have anything to do with which system is chosen nor does it imply that I favor one over another. Period. I don't think the champion always is the guy who had the best year and/or is the best driver....which is what the post actually says. I really don't care what the system is.....it won't be perfect.

Yeah, while the system was getting crushed by the true USs. I liked the system we had. I will be fine with the one we will get. This was never a fight. You and the Marks didn't win ****.
