So who gets the 77 ride?

I didn't check the numbers but I also think SHR is running neck to neck with RCR for last place.
Yea I didn't get that dude's post, he's living in 2014 if he thinks SHR is better than FRR right now. That team has just about out run everyone this year. My thinking is that with a brand new team in the 77 they have ran pretty well this year. With a vet like Kurt they would probably would have won a race or two, not a knock on Jones it just takes time to learn to win a Cup race sometimes. I think with Kurts prior experience at FRR before, he'd be a perfect fit for those guys.

All up to who has the best sponsor long term. 5 yrs at 14 million is better than 1 term at 18 million.

Bell is a possibility, but again he would look a whole lot better if he had a sponsor behind him.

I remember when he did have sponsorship, but I realized recently that I can't remember the last time I saw JBL Headphones on his hood. For that matter, I only ever saw a few ads on TV for them back in 2016, too, but Googling them turns up a bunch of entries including working links to their website. It's just weird...

He would have no limits in lower series except fror playoffs and dash races for his first 5years of Cup. Probably wouldn't run the standalones either.

I remember seeing new limits coming in for 2018, something like five races a year regardless of experience if you're declared for Cup points.

***EDIT***: Nevermind, just re-read the NASCAR.com article, you had it right...

those sponsors are sub contractors for Toyota and they are part of the Toyota sponsorship that are on KDB's trucks.

Are you referring to JBL as part of this "sub-contractor" thing? Because I always assumed that was outside sponsorship that hooked up w/ Bell sometime before Eldora. After all, they never showed up on any KBM Truck prior to Bell's first race in place of Justin Boston...

He is correct, JBL is a corporate partner with Toyota

Since I waited too long to edit my above post, JBL seems to of joined KBM with Bell, as I dont see JBL being apart of KBM before Bell started driving for the team.
