So who's going to the Martinsville March 30th race & wants to meet & greet RF style

I have a change of plans. My wife has never been to a cup race. So we are going to the all star race at Charlotte instead for her first cup race. For my party of four, Martinsville meant the most only to me. My racing pal and his wife prefer Charlotte..

Sorry to mention it Greg, but try to stay on topic. This thread is about Martinsville. ;)

So, did anyone decide they were going? I'm going to be there and I was wondering who's tailgate party would be the best to crash.

I am a season ticket holder at Martinsville. I have 2 great seats for the spring race and 4 of the best seats in the house for the fall race. My wife and I will be there Sunday, and I am hoping to make it down to see qualifying Friday afternoon. We always park just north of the track in the Colonial Downs parking lot. Sometimes they charge $20, sometimes $10, and sometimes nothing. They have food and rest rooms and its an easy in and out. Please say hello if you see my my blue Ford Escape with my PurpleDog Promotions (my business) magnets on my doors.
I have an extra qualifying pass and 2 extra track passes (good on the morning of the race) if anyone can use them ! :)

Have a great time. I saw the fall race and it was great.

Everyone talks about the Martinsville hotdogs, and the dogs are good, but what I look forward to is a fried bologna sandwich with cheese, mustard, and a cold Budweiser. I cant wait !

I have been there for the spring race and froze my ass off, and also been there for this spring race in shorts and a T-shirt and gotten a bit a bit of a sunburn. I live about 45 - 60 minutes away from the track near Smith Mountain Lake, and it's one of the few places in the USA where its possible to snow blow your driveway and mow your lawn in the same week !!

11, 48, and the 24 have been best at the "Pretty Paperclip" lately, but my money is on Kenseth this Sunday.

I'm glad I drove down to the track today. I had my wipers on for a few miles on the way there, but rain did not affect qualifying at all. The new "knockout" qualifying system was really fun to watch. Here are a few photos of the new Air Titan 2 track drying system.

I used to go to South Boston's opener and getting a bologna burger there was the first thing I did but now they have new concessions and the bologna burgers are awful.

Wish I could be there, to many various issues made it impossible .

Bout to head to the truck race weather says it'll just be clouds

Yep, Charlotte is a dang fine facility. Lot's to do around the area too.

They have a lot to do there pre-race. I enjoyed it even though my first and only time at the track ended up begin a rain out and I didn't get to see one lap of actual racing. I didn't pack for that so I ended up begin soaked down to my socks by 7pm when they called it off. I should have brought extra clothes and stayed in my car instead of driving home then oversleeping and having to watch it on TV. :(

Won't have that problem tomorrow though, I could ride a bicycle to Martinsville if I needed to. I'll be in turn 1 enjoying the hot dogs tomorrow. :) Hope to see some of y'all there!

I ended up turning around as soon as I hit Summerfield NC saw some pop showers on the radar but I'll be there monday. Doubt the trucks will get a race in; wonder where they'll park the trucks if it don't get goin? There's not enough room in that garage for 79 race vehicles + haulers.
