If you don't want to be part of the US, I say don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya. I don't like the sterotypes and other things said by "southerners" but I'm sure it goes both ways. As far as speech goes, Midwesterns are generally the people used on news ect for speaking purposes. We're apparently the easiest for everyone to understand. Funny how I can drive 6 hours to Omaha Nebraska and think they speak a different language. Thats the beauty of this country. Different cultures ect. Thats one reason going to Vegas and tourist type places are fun to me. Seeing different walks of life.
