Spam in PM

How can we prevent spammers from joining and then spamming out PM's? I get enough spam in my email and I don't need to be notified that I have a new PM only to find out it's spam as well. Anyone else get one of them? I deleted it from my PM box and also from my email notification before I remembered to get the user's ID. However, I did see that it was a new user that hadn't made any posts. Their whole reason for joining was to spam the members.

I got it too guys. But mine was from Dwarll.

Maybe new members should have a certain number of post before they can send PMs, wonder if it is possible to set something like that up.

I got it also......how annoying to get spam in your pm's..bad enough getting them in your emails.......now they have invaded forums....

I haven't received them, but then I don't suspect that I would considering my title here. I will definitely see what can be done about this. If I might make a suggestion, PLEASE don't delete them, but hang on to them. I DO know that I can prevent them from returning to the forum, but other than that I'll have to inquire with sam and fury as to how to handle this situation.
