www.wwaytv3.com, Joseph Wactor of Brooklyn, NY, lost control of his Pro Mod-style car and impacted the guardrail. The force of the impact knocked the engine from the car. Free of the race car, the engine flew approximately 100 feet, landing on Terry McDougald, of Lillington, NC. McDougald was watching the event from behind a chain link fence and died the scene.
