Spoiler change for super speedway cars

NASCAR will increase the length of the rear spoiler for the Daytona race in July from 53 inches to 58 inches while keeping the restrictor plate the same as it was in February. The plate will have holes 56/64ths of an inch in diameter.

It is probably in reaction to the no height rule. Teams were able to get the spoiler much lower for speed, but they lost handling. Pretty easy to tell when some were spinning out all by themselves. No rear grip.

It's easier to keep up with the changes if NASCAR uses 64ths consistently.

(It would be even easier if they'd melt the damn plates for beer cans.)

I think NASCAR can withstand a few people commenting on a forum, positively or negatively. Don't understand the need for such sensitivity. If there is a problem, it is lack of interest. Not the existence of critical interest.
