Notes – Cup cars on Daytona tire set-up at Talladega: Being on 18-inch bead diameter tires, NASCAR Cup teams will run a different tire set-up than those in the Xfinity Series at Talladega this weekend . . . the Cup cars will run the same combination of left- and right-side tires that they ran at Daytona in February . . . they have run this left-side tire code at Talladega since 2022 . . . this right-side tire code debuted at Daytona and features a construction update compared to what was run at Talladega last season . . . with this 18-inch tire, and its lower profile sidewall, NASCAR Cup cars do not run inner liners in any of their tires.

Teams will be able to go with some two-tire and fuel-only pit stops, depending on the situation. The main thing teams will try to do on superspeedways like Talladega is stay lined up with teammates in order to best work together in the draft.”

Talladega is fine, nothing against it. Kind of annoying though how it’s the only race from here on out in the regular season that’s on broadcast tv. Like NASCAR admits that a typical race isn’t gonna grab anyones attention, but surely a “big one” will.
 
I don't know if it is Nascar or the networks who decide which race is on broadcast TV. I doubt if we ever will be privy to how their decisions are made. Darts? drawing straws or coin flips.
