Sprint Cup @ Pocono Race Thread

Wally Dallenbach's my favorite. Wally calls it as he sees it - he doesn't censor himself for NASCAR.
Wally is a boss. I remember during the IndyCar finale last year, when Marco black flagged for blocking for Hunter-Reay and Wally was like "I wouldn't serve the penalty. I would just stay out there and keep blocking." Wally just don't care.

I thought it was bizarre when Ralph Sheheen started bringing up his favorite semi trucks, and then Tony Stewart attacks him for his opinion? This is going to be a long 10-race TNT deal.

It's only six races. ;)

I can't wait until NBC comes back.

I have a feeling that this is going to be more a bitchfest than a race thread so you chaps have a good one. Later.

I wonder if they'll take those cameras out now..

I believe NASCAR has told all their TV partners not to bring them until they figure out exactly what went wrong at Charlotte. But, I think Jayski said that Fox and ESPN were the only TV partners that used the CAMCAT.

IMO, the rule is clear. I don't understand this loophole that JJ keeps talking about. The car in first starts the restart if they're in the restart zone. If he doesn't go, then the flag man starts the race when they leave the restart zone. There is no loophole. At least JJ stopped claiming Montoya "spun his tires".

If I was a JJ fan, I would be more upset at the fact that it looked like JPM refused to retake the position from JJ after he was penalized.

That's a tough one. If JJ had really lifted to give Pablo the position back, the entire field would've caught him. It didn't look to me like he even attempted.

Agreed, but he sounded like he was on the verge of tears on the radio when he was pleading with NASCAR. I don't think Johnson is that good of an actor.

Trash on the grill might cause the engine to overheat. WOW! Thanks, Larry. Since this is the first time I've ever watched a NASCAR race, I never knew that.
