Sprint Cup Pre-Race Race Thread - Charlotte the Chase version

He's fine as long as he can stay in the top ten, which it appears like he will be able to do. He's settled in 7th.

I'm thinkin it'll be Johnson who's the one to beat. It's obviously between those four. No telling who will be strongest at the end.

According to the NASCAR.com scorer, Jeff is a lap down, but he's the first car one lap down.

Well...the first four laps were good...

Looks like a lot of guys are already pitting. Hornish and Truex both went in.

Bowyer is gonna win by nearly an entire lap if he doesn't need to pit.

It pisses me off when the guy lifting out of the gas to save fuel (and driving slower) wins the race. WTF. Fuel races suck butt.

I will gladly accept the bonehead award for being stupid enough to stay awake and watch this terrible excuse for racing.

I agree! It's not really racing when you aren't driving as fast as you possibly can.

I only saw the last 30 laps and it was enough to put me to sleep....

Bowyers car isn't really out of gas! They always do that after winning on fuel. Nice try Bowyer, but you aren't fooling me.

Way to go Clint! I want him to win this championship :headbang:

I would and I should since he's the hometown hero here, but after meeting him in person...I just can't root for him. He's not a very nice person off camera, or at least he wasn't when I met him. But then again...the same could probably be said for many other races.

Looks like Johnson puts in a nice finish, cut Brad's point lead in half as they go into Kansas.

Here's hoping Brad has another mediocre finish so Johnson can take the point's lead!

He could have had an off day, everyone is entitled to them but I can see why you wouldn't want him to win it

If not for that wreck last week Waltrip Racing might have had two in a row.

this forum would go to hell if MWR had two wins in a row lol, i'd like it but plenty of haters on here

Wouldn't it be something if MWR (Boyer) were to win the last 5 races?

Something like a friendly meteor picking my winning lottery numbers.

I guess anyone can have a huge jump in performance at any time. It would be crazy if the top 3 started falling back and Bowyer and Kasey got in the middle of it all. A 5 way 10 or 12 point chase race at Homestead would be fantastic to watch.
