the NASCAR multi year TV deal was worth 4.5 billion..you tell me. The ratings went way up when she won the pole at Daytona.

?That was signed well before Danica came along.
The entire 2007-2014 TV deal is worth a total of $4.48 billion, which I assume he is talking about. The FOX portion of the new TV deal from 2015-2022 is worth $2.4 billion (was $1.76 billion) and that was agreed upon back in October when Danica had only seven Cup starts.
I'd personally laugh if Danica didn't win the fan vote for some reason. I wonder what NASCAR would do then.

so you two think she is that important to nascar?
you may be right. All the younger pups watched him do flip flops on his motorcycle, then they went out and broke their collarbone .I'll also say that I believe the second most important driver to Nascar is Travis Pastrana , but since he is male , no one will dispute that.
I agree. FS1 already has a lot of quality programming from several major sports lined up.It's a well known fact that the single factor in all this was FOX's cable channel, FOX Sports 1. It has nothing to do with Danica. No matter what anyone thinks, FOX knows what they're doing. FS1 is going to destroy ESPN and ESPN has no clue their empire's about to collapse. Look at what FOX News Channel did to CNN.
I disagree, but I also have no idea how many of his fans watch NASCAR regularly now. I don't know if he lasts long enough to make a big impact.I'll also say that I believe the second most important driver to Nascar is Travis Pastrana , but since he is male , no one will dispute that.
