Lol well u have to pay for the beer at ur house too right? and then another $50 for the fight... I usually would go to a bar.. spend about $50 and get drunk and still get to watch the fight. I don't anymore but I used to a few years back when I was really into UFC
This was back when I watched every big fight... my aunt had DISH network pirated for a while so I got all the fights free... watched em all... then we lost it and I still followed GSP and Anderson Silva.. that was probably about 5 years ago though.Whew! Had us nervous there.
I hate the bar atmosphere, but thanks for the advice. I feel the prelims and undercard are usually the best fighting anyway.

7.8 million in 2011, 8.1 million in 2010, 8.3 million in 2009. I think some of the decrease from 2012 to 2013 can be attributed to the race rebrand from the Bud Shootout to the Sprint Unlimited but moving from broadcast to a cable startup isn't working out well so far. This was the least-watched and lowest-rated Shootout/Unlimited since at least 2001.Well, the 2013 #s I found say the Sprint Unlimited had 5.7M viewers in 2013 when it was on Fox broadcast, not cable Fox Sports 1.
So, 2.2M fewer people watched the Sprint Unlimited in 2014 compared to 2013. That's a huge drop. It also did a 1.4 in the 18-49 demo in 2013, vs 0.9 in 2014. So a hell of a lot more people watched it last year, both young and old.
And the 2012 #s I found (all at TVByTheNumbers) show 6.7M people watched in 2012, with a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demo.
So in two years the # of Americans watching has been cut in half. That's not good.
And now that you know, you just don't care. When FS1 took over I had to google UFC, didn't know what the hell it was.
You set me up for this so here It Is. YEP.And now that you know, you just don't care.
Good thing I watched or it would have only been 256,999. I'm just sayin. Also, FS2's largest audience so far is 257,000.

...plus I find it hilarious even MORE that people had the big argument UFC v NASCAR and an exhibition race with 8 cars had double the ratings of one of the biggest fights of the year.
...year SO FAR lolIt wasn't one of the biggest fights of the year. Not even close.
UFC Fight Nights on FS1 are their 3rd tier product.
Tier 1: UFC numbered PPV events (UFC 170, UFC 171, etc)
Tier 2: UFC on Fox (broadcast) fight cards
Tier 3: UFC Fight Nights on FS1
But you get to see the PPV replay on FS1. I refuse to pay $50 for UFC cards, so 6 months later I watch for free. Then there is the Ultimate Fighter. UFC content is helping FS1, that's for sure.
Fender, when I joined this happened, you were a big Keselowski fan. Why you turning your back on the blue deuce?
I cant watch dealyed sports knowing the results
Not a fan of FS1, but I'll watch NASCAR on any network they put it on.
Fox purchased the Speed Channel. Right now I think mostly what they're doing is trying to decide what else besides auto racing they're gonna show. Next thing you know they'll buy the golf channel and use chess and volleyball competition as a filler.
None of us Speed fans were thrilled to see it taken down as part of a financial deal. 'Course you know big business.
Actually, Fox already owned Speed. They just rebranded it.
Fox has owned Speed since 2001. Fox bought Speedvision in 2001 and immediately started pushing Nascar all the time, which many fans of other motorsports complained bitterly about. That strategy increased the ratings, but hit a ceiling. So after a decade plus of being Nascar TV, Fox decided to rebrand Speed into a general sports ESPN clone.
It was much easier to complain about them when we thought they were 'the new guy'.Actually, Fox already owned Speed. They just rebranded it.

I think its only white for a limited time because of the old school Miller Lite cans. It's not blue anymore.
He won a championship and it went to his head. I like when drivers speak out, but I don't have to like everything they say.

How did you get past the whole 'hat thing'? Many here seem to have huge problems with his fashion sense. Nice to see you come over to the dark side.I root for a lot of drivers. Last night I was rooting for Dillon, who's car got a nice response from the crowd. A win will surely smooth the transition for him, and he's a nice kid.

Rootin your ass off for Bad Brad for a full year more than proved that.lol yeah, race fans are as funny as hell. Last night I was serenaded by 2 drunk men while sitting in the bus bleachers. Made me check my outfit more than once. There's no explaining some of this stuff.
Hat is still fair material because it looks so freaking dumb. Unlike some, I don't need to feign perfection for a driver I root for.

You forgot Austin Dillon. It's now Jeff, Austin, Danica and Dale Jr. because I promised DP.There you go. Even as a fan, I called them as I see them.
Now lets talk about Jeff, Danica and Jr.
You're relatively new to the sport so you get a pass. There you go. Even as a fan, I called them as I see them.

I was surprised to find out just how many people watch golf on TV. I couldn't stay awake long enough watching that slow going stuff to drink even one BL.FOX Sports has PGA rights beginning in 2015 I think. NBC owns the Golf Channel and seeing as Golf Channel's lost it's bread and butter, I imagine that network will be relaunched as NBCSN2 soon.
The Masters. That's the only one I tend to watch.I was surprised to find out just how many people watch golf on TV. I couldn't stay awake long enough watching that slow going stuff to drink even one BL.

I'm glad you enjoy it but my dad told me when I was coming of age that some people liked Scotch Whiskey but most said it was an acquired taste and he hoped that I was like him and didn't suffer through drinking something that I didn't like long enough to come to like it.I like Golf, its an acquired taste so to speak.
