Steve Park

Right as everyone here in the Nascar chat was saying how Steve Park sucked, and we were guessing who would take over his car when he leaves, he comes up with a pole here at California! I was surprised! Do you think that If he wins the race on Sunday DEI will keep him another year or two? Or do you think he is gone no matter what now!?!?
:salute:

Yeah...wow. Amazing how this season has so many magical things going on.

lol

maybe the paint shop guy at DEI painted the wrong car yellow and the wrong car red this week

Congrats to Steve...the only DEI driver I'd ever say that for. :D

Lets see how he races before we say how great and wonderful Steve is...

Exactly

Yeh i say big deal it is only a pole ....nothing really amazing about it. I like Park i used to watch him race back east when he was coming up and i watched his dad too, both really good drivers. However, Steve has a long uphill battle, he will be scrutinized no matter what he does until he consistently finishes in the top 10 all the time. One pole does not equal a comeback, i wish him the best, but i think he will be out of that ride before the end of the year.

I will be very surprised if he actually leads the first lap.

Good one DirtyMo.

:salute:

I think he'll be out of the ride even if he win one. I like the guy, but I think he's gone at the end of the year.

Congratulations to Steve and the #1 team.

He's worked so very hard to come back from a devastating injury that any progress toward normalcy is reason for celebrating.

I am glad Steve won the pole. But I am afraid that a pole is not going to be enought to save his job. I figure that DEI has already got a replacement lined up. And It's not Busch.

I wonder if this is a new side of Park? or just a fluke.. i think he'll have to win more than 1 to keep his job (if he can even still save it)

It's nice to see Steve win the pole. It would be great to see him win and stay with DEI, but it sounds like they want to make a change.

Winning the ploe does not a winner make. But I hope that Steve does well anyway.

Gee.

I know there isn't much to base this on...and I'm just being unfair and all...

But it's time this guy is shown the door. He's a danger. How many more years is NASCAR going to give DEI with this clown?

He did wreck on the 1st lap today... ;) . He may be about over in the Cup. :(

i think he just helped himself out the door, steve when your car is pushing ease off the gas

Park was a pretty good driver once....

Long, long ago in a galaxy far,far away! :AHHHH: :AHHHH:

Seriously,Ty Norris inc.needs to ditch Steve,Waltrip and Jr all three.

wrecking on the first lap...
at this rate. he won't even be qualified to drive a stock car at a local dirt track.

That sounds like a GREAT idea. Get rid of two drivers in the top 10!!

waltrip will be out of the top 10 by haveway, mediocre finishes, the only reason he is up there is because not to many people have been consistent this year.

I think Mikey will stay close to the top 10, 11th or 12th I think. He has had great finishes but a couple bad ones like at martinsville

Boy, was Park proving the critics wrong or was he helping prove their point?

not to mention he had the pole, and coming out of 2 he was in 6th

Just me talking but I think that Steve did a number on his ride next year. IF he even finishes the year. It is a shame I like Steve.
