Thanks for the update. Hopefully they will be able to correct all of the damage. It is obviously very serious, especially with spinal injuries; hopefully it all ends well. I would think he doesn't return to racing until 2026, if ever.

One thing these races need is better emergency crews & equipment. In that situation a modern Hurst tool to clip the cage off quickly would have helped. Since the fuel cell was ripped off made it safer to cut things. Believe took more than 30 minutes to get him out of the car.
Appears it's turned out his injuries are less than might have been expected. Multiple hard impacts stretches the belts and the driver starts moving way to much. Just an ugly deal.
Little surprised they didn't mention the guy that hit him. I'd think that impact would have been rough for him too.
