Stewart throws his helmet at Kenseth's No. 17 after the two collide

As long as Chad doesn't give Tony advise telling him to crack the back end into a wall if he wins we should all be OK.

Yeah, he sure started some stuff with that remark. I always wondered why he looked directly at the camera after he said that. There's a little light to show it's active.

Head games perhaps?

There had been a lot of talk about JGR bending front ends after wins. I always wondered if Chad was actually talking to them, and it backfired. Chad is not a stupid man.
I've had head game thoughts about that incident ever since it happened and even thought that the reason nascar came down so hard on chad and JJ was they knew or thought they knew that it was head games.

I always though NASCAR took it seriously. They asked Chad about the car after the comment, but he didn't come clean about the C-covers. Then HMS loses a key engineer to MWR, and that car comes back the following year at Daytona. I think that engineer checked the sheet and recognized the frame number and tipped Darby off. There is NO way Darby spotted that just running his hand over the car. NASCAR surely felt this was the reason for Chad telling JJ to smack the back the year before.

Maybe so, stranger things have happened. I've always thought that all team employees should have a handshake disclosure agreement with the team owners and if one word is disclosed to anyone out of the loop said owner would send Guido with a ball bat to break their freakin head, just my opinion.

Engineers are hired for what they know about what the other team is doing. There is no way to have a non-disclosure about racing knowledge.

Former HMS engineer: "Hey Mikey, this is how HMS makes JJ's car faster".
MWR competition director: "That's illegal and too risky. We can't use it, and make sure they don't either".

You usually recognize way over the top sarcasm better than that. I thought the Guido with a ball bat thing would give it away. :D
