In dirt racing, what is a metric car, and how does this differentiate from other dirt cars?

A what? I've never even heard that term

A car fastened together in Europe?

Stock cars based on the GM G-Body platform from model years 1978-88, because they used metric fasteners, unlike the chassis that were used for dirt cars before them.

In street stock classes, a Camaro is not a metric car (was not a G-Body car). Most of the Monte Carlos, Regals, etc. are, as they are from that era. Each have their advantages and drawbacks.

Oh probably why I've never heard it I've only seen 2 street stock races and both were on pavememt
