I don't think WEC would have survived the last years if it wasn't for private LMP1/Hypercar teams. I hope Glickenhaus will continue their WEC program.
I think Jim needs additional sponsorship, Goetz being backed by BWT could help him some. Jim is looking for drivers with sponsorship, it looks like Motul stepped down from being their primary sponsor for the team.

I was following the SpaceX satellite launch at the Cape on my laptop , look up
at the big tv with the race on and they put the cameras on the rocket .
Truly spectacular!

Just seeing those Hyper cars on track is good enough for me and with
all the manu's back its really cool. Seems the Pugs have some teething to do
and Penske has to be pleased . Who will be the first to beat Toyota? I guess we will
wait and see but I think it will be a Porsche or the Cadi.

And we've got another 12 hours to go today!
With NASCAR, Rally and Winter Sports on today I won't be able to watch that much of the IMSA race, hopefully the lightning will stay away.
I though the WEC race was pretty good. Toyota finished a lap ahead of the field but they don't look completely unbeatable for the rest of the year. Despite the special characteristics of the Sebring track the new cars looked pretty good when it comes to reliability.
Looking forward to the next race already.

Doc Austin will be mad at me saying this again: LMP3 gotta go. I know they needed it, they don't any more. IMSA needs to send them to the VP Racing ghetto and let me enjoy them in the way I do seeing rich children destroy F3 or ARCA chassis driving like total imbeciles.

Yesterday they confirmed LMP2 will stay through at least 2025 and that they’ll have more details on LMP3’s future by the end of May, so it sounds as though they’re on their way out of WeatherTech. I’m kinda surprised they even got extended through this year, but for sure by next year the grid will be too crowded to need them anymore.

Cracking battle between Maro Engel vs. Jordan Taylor for the lead in GTD Pro.

I’m gonna miss having a pro GT class in WEC until the Hypercar competition ramps up. Corvette won GTE-Am by two laps yesterday after what happened to the Richard Mille Ferrari and the Iron Dames, and with how early it was clear Toyota we’re going to win it felt like an ELMS race that went twice as long as it needed. There’s something to be said for all-pro lineups in production-based cars.

It was clear pretty much through every practice session too. We didn't get the race we wanted, but it went so smoothly it's probably what the series needed for the first race of the new era. Let the excitement build and really have a good race at Lemans. That's what we need.

I think it showed potential at times and Ferrari were not too far off on pace after the weird strategy at the start and penalty, it was just too much to overcome against Toyota. The positive is that it looked like the cars race well when they’re near each other like GTP is showing today. Hopefully the field tightens up at Portimão and Spa.

MSR lost a wheel, so it’ll be two stints for everyone to the finish after the yellow. Five cars on the lead lap in GTP, I think four in P2, six in GTD Pro, twelve in GTD. Corvette cycle back to the tail end of the pack in GTD Pro. Should be quite the finish.

25 BMW actually had to change the rear brakes and lost the lead lap, that’s tough. Also messed up Corvette’s pit box entry so they’re towards the back of the GTDs.

IMSA needs to do something about the caution flag periods in this series. It's terrible for television. You can't have halftime occur every hour or back to back like this.

Unreal way that this might end. Whatever you might say about the GTP between themselves but then the 6 also took out those GT cars too.
