Doesn't look like DTM. What series is it?
Our national TCR Series, which is kind of our most important national touring car series now that DTM races Sports Cars.

GT Masters also raced later in the afternoon.

The hill in the background is the Ankerberg which turns into one of the nation's biggest campgrounds during MotoGP weekend.

Dryer repair and cleaning. Idlers pulley and 1 drum roller shot. Ordered 3 new pulleys and a belt.
What a mess... I did find $1.38 in change though...

Spent some time in Hocking Hills over the weekend. About an hour southeast of Columbus

We had a nice little cabin out in the middle of nowhere. It was perfect!

One of the most beautiful places you can ever go. I've hiked there many times starting when just a boy. Here's a stick I found while hiking about 40 years ago. About 20 years ago a friend finished it for me as you see it now. Yes, I still use it. Whatever the many coats of shiny is he put on it, it's very durable and shows no wear.

I found out that the city where I go to college actually has a racing history.
Most of the Halle-Saale-Schleife was a public road back then but a small part of the track that used to be permanent can be also be found.
This was turns 2 and 3.

Turn 3 was called "corner of the youth"

That is sooooo much fun!! I raced go-karts in the mid-'60's and had a blast. It was when a McCullough chain saw motor was modified to power the kart and quick change gear boxes were just being introduced. Wish I had some photos of the kart from those days.
Every time I get a chance I love to hop in one and race against my son or grandsons.
Kiante, where is this track?

looks like a blast, those things are quick. Do they charge by every ride or how does that work?

I was talking about price wise, do you pay every time you ride, or is it like an hourly thing?

Pay for rentals every time I go.

I would love to have my own kart, but its not in the books just yet. For three races its $60 dollars, I get a military discount (Five dollar reduction). It's usually $65 dollars for three races, to me its worth every penny because I enjoy karting.

How many laps per race?
Usually around 9 laps, an average lap for most is around 66.5 or 67 seconds for many. I think its 10 minutes per session.

The fastest I've seen is like a 63 or 64. Thst's usually like Noah Gragson, Camden Murphy, Derek Kraus, and other professionals are around that time.

My fastest has been a 65.3 or 65.4, I'm not too bad. I'm very inconsistent at times due to my ragged inputs and over eagerness on-throttle at times. As you saw with the spin these karts bite back, but finding the limit to me is enjoyable.

They sure are growing fast! What do you feed them, Miracle Grow ?
Well actually I don't feed them since they live at my grandma's appartment. Two of them have actually found a new home already.
My grandma hadn't owned a cat in over twenty years and wasn't planning to get one again but when the black cat started showing up in her garden this summer and it turned out no one was mising the cat she couldn't resist adopting her. In August she took her to the veterinarian who said the cat was all OK but "a little thick". The rest is history.
