Why is it the spring race draws more fans than this one? I was looking at tickets and at least 1/3 of the tickets still remain. The spring race is nearly full.

All of the motorhome/RV camping with full power.water and sewer hook ups is sold out. Power and water only is sold out. Water only is sold out. No hookups infield is almost sold out. About all there is is outside camping no hook up for any of that.

Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Tech and the Bulldogs not to far away.

They play on different days but those fans might to dollared out to do a Saturday game and then the race tickets on Sunday.
 
Does anyone know if all night partying still takes place at the Talladega campsite prior to race day ?

Asking for an old friend . . .
 
Looking at the lineup it seems about as mixed up as I've seen in a while. Doesn't seem like any team or manufacturer had something special for this one.

It's interesting to me that Briscoe and Bell brought raw speed instead of the usual Toyota downforce stuff. Big race for them.

Penske work so well together at these tracks. Gibbs and the Toyota guys aren’t bad as long as they don’t wreck each other. And of course, HMS is always every man for themselves. So crazy how they (HMS) used to work so well with one another here and at Daytona.
